It's not chim, I suggest you better go learn some basic thai before doing your planning on the financial management plan. At least your time would be fruitful learn some basic Thai language, as you able to communicate at least basic thai with the pooying you like to be your gf, rather than speculating things which nobody can guess accurately.

Lol... Surely must learn thai, at least basic, it will help u when in LOS for good. However a lot of migrants or retirees also go LOS there den start learning the culture and language. Its much easier to talk to thais and learn basic thai, especially those who haf decent english foundation la.

Till today, using youtube and books to learn basic thai, still cant remember except some short sentences and basic. Its quite tough when u dun really interact in thai wif thai ppl.

Bro teerak, sorry la i am like a pattayian( i njoy patts), so i use patts to talk abt LOS. Its not really tt safe but still staying in the less secluded place and being low profile and careful wif money shld be fine there lol...

Oh ya i am not speculating la, i just sharin my views. It may be shallow but its just about gettin funds and putting urself mentality ready for the challenge ahead in this new culture...

But if u still think i tok nonsense then i tone down lor but i started this thread to discuss mah. Like i say, no one sure got all the right ans but i think i haf say loads of stuff tt made sense, dont think i smoked wad i say even though some things may not be inch perfect lol...

I wouldn't say northern part of TH is a best place for retirement but its definitely cheaper than Bkk. Before move to CNX, I stayed at Bkk for awhile, but the things there was freaking expensive, thus moving to other parts of TH is the best solution. I'm not a retiree, so can't stay at expensive place.

Beside the north, the central of TH is a also haven place to reside, ie: Saraburi, Nakon Nayok, Rachaburi, and the list goes on, but Patts won't be my in list.

Yes no doubt Patts has the most entertainment outlets, but doesn't mean other part of TH has non. Patts is well known for go go bars, but I'm sure they can't beat the KTVs that CNX have.

Patts is not tt good for family living(but still, you can stay further away from the nightlife area like in jomtien or nearer chonburi.) I think in LOS anyway, u go out in middle of night and walk walk is finding trouble lah(Even though most bros say its ok as long got lots of ppl in tt area)....NO place is guarantee safe, hell Singapore hougang or little india also got robbers and molesters hahahaha....

Bro, seriously i say say now lah i like patts so good, scully I FALL IN LOVE then stay at mountain area like u how? hahahahahahah....

Oh ya, i don chiong KTV unless fren treat beer or share beer lol... Prefer to stay low class, down my fav LEO beer like siao at 7 eleven then munch one sausage(uncle style) and then wear slippers go to disco, order one singha, bio here and there. If no target, wrap up the night by 3am, go back hotel rm see repeat of thai premier league, watch Pattaya TV or see thai MTV, or thai lakorn without even understanding what they really sae LOL(for a change lol, pattaya united rocks! enuff of muangthong for those who watching lol....) then also makan the testos or wad or go buy kebab bah..... poor, cheap and good enuff lifestyle for me lol.... just lack the serviced apartment nia hahahahaha...

Sis, I've have several friends which consists of male and female approved of gik-ship, and another several friends doesn't approved the gik-ship. And several couples, knows their partner having giksss behind their each other back.

Amazing how couples can accept their partner having giks behind their backs. This is something not commonly seen in SG... Though there are exceptions la. I share the same opinion as you... No gik-ship if one is attached. Seems to me though that the Thais are very open about this gik-ship thing...

That's why Thailand has got a high divorce rate. The man/woman just walk away when they want to end the relationship, taking whatever they can take, ended with many single woman bringing up her child/children single handedly.

Their way of divorce is strange to Ang Moh. And we see many of them whining on how their Thai wives took their land, their cars etc, etc...This is their way, they don't go to Court.
