Based on a BBC survey after the first round of WC games, Hannes Halldorsson is the highest rated goalkeeper. Maybe Pool should get him. Should be a lot cheaper than Allison or others...

The way things are going, I wont be surprised if Klopp just sticks with Karius and Mignolet. Huge risk but if it pays off, then all is good, if not, Klopp shall have to take responsibility.

I think it will be hard to sell Karius. He has played well since Jan. Disastrous Champions League final but he is subsequently certified by a doctor to be suffering from concussion. What kind of message will Klopp be sending to the squad if Karius is sold because he played badly due to this concussion?

It will be easier to sell Mignolet (let Mignolet claim he wants more game time) and buy someone of Karius's standard to offer competition. Karius is the youngest goalkeeper to ever play in the Bundesliga and is voted 2nd best goalkeeper in the Bundesliga (2015/26). Neuer is the best.

Allison will be a big risk. High transfer fee, big wages and he may not used to the physicality of the English Premier League. Kasper Schmeichel will be a good buy. Proven in the EPL, may want to play for a big 6 team (played 8 games for Man City), turns 32 in Nov (unlikely to cost us much in transfer fees) and will be a good solution for the next 3-4 seasons. He has league winning experience too.

Yes Alisson is the goalie who let in 7 goals. While watching that match, I think he looks pretty lost. South American families may find it harder to settle down in English speaking, boring Liverpool too. When the wives and kids complain, these players look towards transferring to Spain.

FSG may also be financially tight this season. There are plans to expand one of the stands in Anfield to become a 61,000 seater stadium.
