What I meant was that if you have a low income, dun add more burden to yourself by getting her pregnant. If you wanna choose this way out, by second submission hopefully your application will be approved. Ask your doctor to write a letter stating your wife is pregnant b4 submission. Btw, have you finalised the marriage procedure? If not please read thru my stickies.

I have an ex-colleague who applied PR for his wife a few years back. 2 of the applications were turned down because of their educational levels (guy is part time poly undergrad and gal is on Form 3) and their combined salaries cannot hit 3K. The immigrations told them to wait for another year to apply again. During that time, my ex-colleague's wife got pregnant. The child was borned here and became a citizen. They used the name of child to apply PR for the mother and they got it after some appeals and letters from the MPs. I think this is a strong case because a child needs a mother's care, right? Then, again, this is probably a big gamble for those who are applying PR for their partner because it is not a written rule for PR acceptance.

Re: Marry a ROC
Dear Bro,
I had some distant relatives from PRC married here. The following is what they do: 1. The husband to be visited China and get they will have to get married in China. 2. With the China marriage Certificate, they will then proceed here to Singapore and get it certified in our local ROM. 3. With both Certs. go to th immirgation and apply for here a PR, during this she will be granted a long term pass here. 4. Bear in mind that during this period of application she must not get herself into any problems or all will go wasted. 5. Upon granting of her PR then it will depend on individual on how they apply to get their citizenship. 6. According to my knowledge there are no income pag as in minimum how much must you earn but the marriage must be real. Both my distant relatives married to guys whom do not have even a poly dip. And their pay is only in the S$2000 to S$2500 bracket. 7. Last but not least one of them got her Citizenship within 3 years of her stay here, of course she is a mother of 2 by then. If you need further help can PM me. Regards |
Am I allowed to work with student pass? No. You are strictly not allowed to engage in any form of employment, whether paid or unpaid, or in any business, profession or occupation in Singapore during the validity of your Student's Pass unless you have the consent in writing of the Controller of Immigration. Violators will be prosecuted by law.
Re: Marry a ROC
I think you are confused. I will explain again. Student pass holders are not allowed to work, work permit won't be granted to student pass holders. Not all student pass holders can be registered their marriage in SGP. You have to bring her down with her passport/student pass to ICA 4th storey student pass department to let the ICA officer verify whether she can marry with her student pass. Student passes with the private schools should not be a problem, not those studying in government schools.
sorry bro, i think u misunderstood me cos i didn't make it clear, my apologies. wat i meant is if i do not 1 2 marry at the moment, but wana make her stay 1 more year, as her student pass expired soon, any other ways beside renew student pass? |
