As all of us know, SG law state that if you are not marry you cannot keep the house. His house will be ready in i think somewhere between late 2011 to early 2012.

hmm, ....my advice to you is to keep the flat if possible cause u have buy at a very low price which u can easily make 200k cash after five years(MOP) and in the mean time rent out the 'rooms' for extra income.

hdb will not force u to give up the flat if u have no plans to get marry....u have 2 choice.....give up the entire unit and lost 10%to hdb (which i find is very the stupid which u can make so much money in 5 years time)or......

in order to secure this unit from HDB, u need to ask ur parents to join name for this new flat(in order to do this ur parents must not own any hdb at this point)as a occupant or joint owner under family nucleus.then HDB will ask your financee to sign a undertaking letter that she have agreed to let u own this particular flat with your parents and will not make further claims in future in profit or lost for this particular unit.

or another senario is to get married first and wait till u recieve the keys from hdb and apply for divorce immediately and hdb also 'L L' but to let u both sell in the open market and when u guys split the profit after u 'divorce.

if u have purchase a BTO 5 room flat in punggol will cost u 280k and sell at current resale market is 480k -520k

so the morale of the story is, try your means and ways to get this unit, do u know many people will curse and swear if u give up your unit like this.

is free money from garment, if u not intending to buy this flat, let ur ex gf have a bite in this.cant understand y some bros have all the luck but not making use of it...................two cents worth

Hey, not 100% sure, but isn't there a rule that prevents you from renting it out immediately after purchase?

Ditto for selling.

So in this case, even buy and then divorce still have to wait right? Or else everyone will be doing this pattern.

Same for the parents thingy hor?

100%u can rent out the rooms from the first day u own a hdb, garment is not restricting u from renting out the rooms but u have to occupied one room la.

u can R.O.M and divorce within the first year with immediate reason like never consumate and he or she having affairs............bla bla bla........no need to wait immediate can divorce.

parents is very straight forward. hdb is actually very helpful in all this cases.and is not that complicated as you thing
