Man made GF's niece, 13, watch porn, then raped her - 20 May 2011 SOURCE: The New Paper WHERE normal people would watch sitcoms, variety shows or dramas, tis uncle preferred porn on the living room TV – including homemade movies of his sexual escapades. He also encouraged whoever was home, including children in his gf’s rental flat, 2 watch with him. 1 of the kids was his gf’s step-niece, who was then only 13. He encouraged her 2 watch porn with him when they were alone. The man, who was then 48, also showed the girl homemade videos of him having sex with another person. 1 day, he started touching the girl. A few months later, he had sex with her. The man, now 51, was yesterday jailed 12 years aft pleading guilty 2 1 charge of sexually penetrating a minor & 2 charges of rape. 5 other charges of committing an indecent act & sexually penetrating a minor were taken in2 consideration during sentencing. He was spared fr caning as he is over 50. The parties cannot be named 2 protect the identity of the girl, who is now 16 & works as a waitress. The court was told she had a tragic childhood. Her mother died in November 2007. The teen was close 2 her step-aunt, who is the stepsister of her mother, & she would occasionally stay over @ her rental flat. Her step-aunt, who is in her 30s, lived in the flat with her children. The man, who has 7 children fr 3 marriages, had been dating the step-aunt since December 2006. He later moved in2 the woman’s flat with his 11-year-old son fr his 2nd marriage. The girl addressed the man as Pak Lebai (Malay 4 some1 who is perceived 2 be well-versed in religion). He was a maintenance worker & cleaner @ a mosque. In February 2008, the 2 began kissing & hugging when they were alone in the flat. The following month, the man & the girl drank the alcohol he had bought. They then began kissing & engaged in heavy petting. Later tat month, the teen was in the bedroom when the man approached her 2 talk. He kissed her, touched her breasts & asked her 2 perform oral sex on him. The girl’s step-aunt was not home @ the time. 3 months later, in June 2008, the man took home 12 bottles of liquor 4 his gf & the teen 2 drink. The girl’s step-aunt quickly got drunk & fell asleep on a mattress of the bedroom floor. The man & the teen, who were lying on the bed, then began kissing. The teen, who was a virgin, did not resist the man’s advances & they later had sex. On another day tat month, the teen was abt 2 leave the flat 2 meet her step-aunt, who was waiting 4 her @ the void deck, when the man called her 2 the bedroom. Aft asking the teen where she was going, he asked her 2 perform oral sex. She obliged. He then told her 2 lie on the bed with him & the 2 had unprotected sex. In April 2009, the teen moved in 2 live with her step-aunt becos her father had sold their flat. She shared a mattress on the floor with the couple, with the man sleeping betw the 2 of them. They continued having sex until July. The same month, the girl’s brother also moved in2 the flat. They had sex 6 times in all. It was only in December, when her step-aunt told the teen she was thinking of marrying the man, did the teen reveal wat the man had been doing. She was afraid her step-aunt would be making a big mistake by marrying such a man. The girl had confided in her brother & his girlfriend b4 going 2 her step-aunt. Her step-aunt kicked the man out of the flat & the teen lodged a police report. The court was told the man, who left school aft completing his PSLE, liked 2 watch pornographic films @ his gf’s flat. He did so in the presence of his gf, her step-niece & other family members. But when Judge Lee Seiu Kin asked who the other family members were, DPP Edmund Lam said he was not sure. Lawyer Shashi Nathan said in his mitigation tat the man was deeply ashamed of his actions, tat he wished 2 apologise 2 the girl & her step-aunt. Mr Nathan, who is handling the case pro bono, also highlighted tat a prolonged jail term would mean a lack of financial support & father figure 4 the man’s 7 children, who r aged betw 3 & 20. At the end of the hearing, the judge ordered tat the VCDs, which had been confiscated fr the man, be destroyed & 4 a digital video camera & 2 VCD players 2 be returned 2 their owners. For each charge of sexually penetrating a minor and rape, the man could hv been jailed 20 years.

Ex-teacher jailed for sex with underage student - 11 Jun 2011 A FORMER school teacher who had sex with a 15-year-old female student was sentenced to 10 months' jail on Friday. Asking 4 a jail sentence, DPP Agnes Chan said the molestation was not “fleeting” but went on for 8 mins. Agreeing, District Judge See Kee Oon said the young victim had been subjected 2 “prolonged, unwanted advances”. The maximum sentence 4 outraging modesty is 2 years’ jail with a fine & caning.

A week later, they started petting; in March, they had sex 4 the 1st time; & in May, he took her 2 a temple 2 “solemnise” their “marriage”. They called each other lao gong (husband in Mandarin) & lao po (wife) in text messages & online chats. The sexual offences, which took place betw February & May 2007, came 2 light when the girl was questioned by school officials abt their relationship. When confronted by the principal, discipline mistress & the teacher in charge of the club, the girl denied it @ 1st, but confessed aft romantic text messages were found on her mobile phone. The man was sacked on the spot. During the trial, the prosecution produced numerous romantic text messages & online chat messages 2 support the girl’s account of the relationship. But the man said it was not unusual 4 him 2 address women or girls other than his wife as lao po & 2 use terms of endearment with them. He could hv been jailed 4 up to 20 years, fined or caned on each count of statutory rape, & fined up to $5,000 or jailed up to 2 years on each count of sexual exploitation.

i personally know of a few girls who go around having relationship with tutors, coaches and older men with stable careers due to their unfortunate circumstances in life like their fathers leaving them and they couldn't get along with their mums....and they started doing this at a very young age so it is like going around having sugar daddies....it is due to their unfortunate situation in life but sometimes it take both hands to clap....so it is difficult to say who is in the wrong, the older guy or the younger girl....sorry my post may not be directly related to this thread

Man admits to indecent acts with girl, 12, after meeting online 07 Jul 2011 A young man persuaded a 12-year-old girl 2 send a naked picture of herself 6 months aft they became acquainted on the Internet. Aft sending him a few pictures, Lee Guo Qiang, now 20, began asking the girl 4 sex in their conversations. A Community Court heard on Wednesday tat they finally met in September 2009 aft her PSLE. The pair went 2 a staircase landing in Woodlands where he hugged & kissed her & touched her all over. He then asked her 2 masturbate him b4 making her perform oral sex on him. On another occasion tat month or the following month, he followed her home & committed an indecent act with her. Lee, a full-time national serviceman, pleaded guilty to 2 counts of committing an indecent act with a child & will be sentenced on July 27. He was remanded.

Maid lied to police about being raped 15 Jul 2011 SOURCE: The Straits Times An Indonesian maid who lied tat she had been raped thrice by a Turkish man she was acquainted with was jailed for 3 months yesterday. Rohatin, 33, who goes by only 1 name, admitted that the information she gave @ the Bedok Police Division, alleging the rapes on Dec 24 & 25 last year, was false. The court heard tat she met the man on Dec 22 & confided in him abt her problems. He was not named. She claimed tat he told her he could help her, & took her 2 his home, where she massaged him upon his request. She said tat when she went there again 2 days later, he raped her. She claimed tat he raped her again on Dec 25 @ his home, once in the morning & again in the afternoon. Police investigations showed tat she had made up the story becos she was hurt & angry tat the man was seeing other girlfriends on the side. She also claimed tat he had made empty promises 2 employ her as a domestic worker. District Judge Christopher Goh said her allegation of rape was a serious offence, & could hv got the man in2 alot of trouble. Rohatin could hv been jailed 4 up 2 a year &/or fined up to $5,000.

I read through the thread and noticed that many broes give the benefit of doubt to the man standing accused and in some places, I see that blame is attached to the girls for placing themselves in compromising or risky situations. The most important thing we should remember is that in consensual sex, it must be very clear that there is consent. Sex without consent amounts to rape; it is as simple as that.
Lets examine a few compromising scenarios. Girl is drunk and keeps saying she is horny and touches herself, and the bro helps himself to sex, even though she is saying no: this can be rape. Girl is high and wants to visit the bro's apartment, there is some sexy dancing and kissing and the bro helps himself to sex, even though she is saying no: this can be rape. Bro is in a HC and while the girl is giving him a good HJ and he starts to take off the masseuse's clothes and forces the masseuse to have sex, even though she is saying no: this can also be rape. Even in a Geylang brothel, you have paid a prostitute and half-way, she stops and says no, it can also be rape. In the last example, her story is likely to be less believed because the nature of her work implies consent. But this story serves to remind us that consent can be withdrawn at anytime and if the bro wants to go ahead with the sex act, wants to insist that he is too high or too provoked to stop, or wants to blame the girl for encouraging him or making him too hot (or in the last scenario, has paid for sex due to him), this bro runs the risk of committing a criminal act. Seriously, we are not animals and we can stop. If you need to be angry or let off steam or find another opportunity of consensual sex or release, go ahead but do not insist that you are entitled to have sex with the girl who has said no. Where does it say that we are entitled to have sex, once the girl has encouraged us or made us 'hot'? What logic is there that the girl owes us sex, if she is haio, teased us or placed herself in a compromising or suggestive situation? It is my personal advice to all broes to quickly walk away when a girl says no, especially if you are the angry or retaliative type. A rape conviction means that bro's life is destroyed: marriage, job, family, friends etc. Just look at the ex-IMF chief.

Some of us believe that the system is screwed and a girl can make false accusations with impunity. But the truth is that there are ways of getting to the truth. There should be evidence of bruises that go with non-consensual sex. How soon she makes the complaint is another point in her favor. If you have watched CSI enough, you will realize that we have enough science and intelligence behind the justice system to get to the truth, for the benefit of both the accuser and accused.
And don't forget the girl needs a lot, a lot of guts to tell her lie to the police, the lawyer and to the court and the entire process is quite nerve wracking and very stressful. Can you keep up a lie? Try it and you will agree it is very hard (even if it is possible). What really sucks is that it costs money to the accused to defend himself.

Fearing she would fall pregnant, the girl confided in her sister. In June last year, she went with her mother 2 a doctor & tested positive 4 pregnancy. She was then 2 months gone. The mother also took her 2 the police. The girl had the baby aborted & a paternity test concluded tat her bf was the father. On Aug 23 last year, the couple were chatting when he asked her whether she had gone 2 the police, becos they were looking 4 him. She denied it @ 1st, but buckled under his persistent questioning. On hearing tat the police had been alerted, he hit her. They broke up in November last year. During sentencing, the court took in2 consideration 2 other charges of sex with an underage girl 4 trysts he had with her in April last year. 4 having sex with a girl under 16, he could hv been jailed up to 5 years & fined up to $10,000. 4 hitting her, he could hv been jailed up 2 a year and/or fined up to $1,000.

3rd man convicted of sex with 14-year-old prostitute 27 Jul 2011 SHE was a 14-year-old prostitute who roamed the backlanes of Geylang, around L22 & L24. Believed 2 be 1 of the youngest streetwalkers here, she would solicit 4 customers, quoting $50 as her going rate. Earlier tis year, 2 of her customers were packed off 2 a year’s jail each 4 having paid sex with her. Yesterday, a 3rd man was jailed 10 months 4 having been 1 of her clients. Muhammad Afnan Nordin, 26, a part-time sales promoter in October 2009, the time of his offence, met the teenage prostitute in Jalan Molek, off L24. DPP Gail Wong said the pair went 2 Jade Hotel nearby, where he booked & paid 4 a hotel room. When in the room, he asked 4 her age & she told him she was 18. Later, aft he paid her $50, they exchanged contact numbers. She came 2 call him “Keciq”. The girl was picked up during an anti-vice operation the following month & grilled by the police. 6 days later, they tracked down Afnan & arrested him. Afnan, who pleaded guilty on Monday b4 District Judge Kamala Ponnampalam, said in mitigation tat the girl had told him she was 18. But DPP Wong told the court tat the legislative intent behind the law was 2 protect the young & vulnerable fr commercial exploitation. A deterrent sentence was thus necessary 2 discourage people fr engaging in commercial sex with minors. Citing the case of Rodney Sim, dealt with in 2009 for a similar offence, the DPP said he had also accepted the word of the pimp or the prostitute tat she was @ least 18, although he suspected tat she was younger than tat. The girl, a Chinese national, was actually 17. Sim was jailed for two weeks & fined $16,000 on 2 counts of having commercial sex with a girl below 18. The judge in tat case had said tat it would undermine the legislative intent of the law if an accused person escaped a jail term just by virtue of having asked 4 the age of the minor or the pimp & taken their answers @ face value. It had become a crime 4 any1 2 engage in paid sex with a person under the age of 18 in February 2008. The maximum penalty is a 7-year jail term & a fine. Former senior minister of state for law & home affairs Ho Peng Kee said in Parliament in 2006 tat young people, being immature & vulnerable, could be exploited & should thus be protected fr providing sexual services. Singapore has joined countries such as Britain & Australia in criminalising commercial sexual activities with persons under 18. Typically, sentences meted out 2 similar offenders here range fr 9 months 2 a year. The teenage prostitute is no longer plying her trade. Now 16, she is living in a girls’ home.

Poly student gets 13 years for raping girl, 13 29 Jul 2011 A 24-year-old polytechnic student was on Friday sentenced to 13 years' jail & 15 strokes of the cane 4 raping a 13-year-old secondary school student. Wang Jianbin had befriended the girl in October 2008 aft coming across her email address in the 'making friends' column of a teenage magazine. They started 2 communicate via text mesages & telephone calls. But he started asking her sexual questions & sent her sexually explicit text messages. In December 2009, he asked 2 meet @ her home. The girl asked 2 male friends, 17 & 18, 2 hide in her mother's room & 2 call 4 help if she could not handle Wang. When Wang arrived, the girl brought him 2 her room as he demanded. She did so becos she thought he would not dare 2 do anything 2 her becos her brother was having a lesson with his piano teacher in the living room. But inside, Wang molested her. 1 of the girl's male friends came in2 the room & struggled with Wang but he made the girl tell the friend 2 leave. Both teenage boys then went 2 seek help fr a nearby fire post, in their absence, Wang raped the girl. The 2 teenage boys then returned with several civil defence officers. The police arrived shortly aft & arrested Wang.

Judge horrified by rapist who terrorised ex-GF's sis and family 02 Aug 2011 A DISTRICT judge sentenced a rapist to 11 years’ jail & 8 strokes of the cane yesterday, saying he was horrified by wat the man did. The man, who said he had been chased out of his own home in late 2005, was taken in by his then 18-year-old fiancee’s family, who offered him food & shelter. He broke up with her, but turned his attentions on her younger sister, kissing & touching the child inappropriately. Finally, he raped the 13-year-old in December 2006, terrorising the family 4 more than 7 hours & telling her mother tat God wanted him 2 hv the child as his wife. The man is appealing against the conviction & sentence 4 aggravated molestation & rape. His divorced parents posted the $100,000 bail 4 him. District Judge Low Wee Ping said he was horrified 2 hear the evidence fr the prosecution’s witnesses, particularly tat of the victim, her mother & the man’s ex-fiancee. Judge Low said: “It was, I would describe, a day of terror 4 the family starting at 2pm & ending at 9.15pm, when you raped the victim. “The manner in which you pronounced your offences 2 her mother horrified me. You claimed tat it was God’s will. You claimed tat, therefore, the victim needed 2 be your wife.” The man, now 25, remained expressionless in the dock as he was being sentenced. He cannot be named 2 protect the identity of the victim, now 17. The court heard tat on Dec 28, 2006, the victim was in her room when she heard the accused & her mother argue. He then entered the girl’s room & forced himself on her. She pushed him away, struggled & cried, saying she did not like him & did not believe tat she was supposed 2 be his wife. He left the room, only 2 send the girl’s mother out 2 buy things 2 cook. He returned & began pulling off the girl’s underwear. When she screamed, he shoved a part of the bed linen into her mouth & molested her. Aft tis, he made her swear on the Bible tat she would marry him. She complied only becos she was scared. He stopped his assault when she pleaded with him 2 do so. The victim, in tears, told her mother later abt the molestation. The 55-year-old divorcee was angry & wanted 2 call the police but did not, trapped by her inability 2 act decisively as a result of a longstanding case of depression, the court heard. Abt 7 hours aft the molestation, the accused locked the mother out of the flat & raped the girl @ knife- point. The victim was later taken 2 hospital where she & her mother told the doctor abt the rape. During the trial, the victim’s mother was asked by defence counsel Subhas Anandan why she did not call the police tat day. The mother replied tat she was confused & waiting 4 her elder daughter 2 return so they could decide wat 2 do. The mother was in tears during her testimony, but said she wanted neither a glass of water nor a recess, instead declaring 2 the court: “I 1 justice.” The prosecution argued tat the accused had physically abused the family of staunch Christians during his stay there, but he denied tis. Arguing 4 a stiff deterrent sentence yesterday, DPPs Shahla Iqbal & Edmund Lam listed the many aggravating factors in the case, such as the accused’s abuse of the family’s trust & the violence & brutality with which he forced himself on a young virgin. DPP Iqbal said the girl’s mother had trusted him enough 2 let him in2 her home, treated him like a son & had thought tat he would be like a brother 2 the girl. The man could hv been jailed 4 up to 10 years & caned 4 aggravated outrage of modesty. On the rape charge, he could hv been jailed 4 up to 20 years, & be liable 2 a fine or caning.

Robber sexually assaulted woman next to sleeping daughter 02 Aug 2011 EARLY 1 morning in July last year, a 44-year-old woman secured the window grilles of her flat with cable ties & went 2 sleep with her 4-year-old daughter. She was rudely awoken later when she felt a sharp object pressed 2 her neck. A knife-wielding stranger was sitting on her bed. Blindfolded & bound, she was not only robbed of her belongings but also sexually assaulted for 30 to 40 minutes. Yesterday, her attacker, unemployed 46-year-old Lim Chee Cheong, was sentenced to 18 years’ preventive detention & the maximum 24 strokes of the cane. Preventive detention, which ranges fr 7 to 20 years, is meted out 2 repeat offenders & does not offer the usual 1/3 remission 4 good behaviour. Lim, who has past convictions 4 theft & housebreaking, had pleaded guilty 2 one charge each of armed robbery, housebreaking & theft by night & sexual assault. The High Court heard tat, 4 the most part, the woman & her daughter r the only occupants of the flat; her husband is a foreign national working abroad. At about 1.30am on July 26 last year, Lim decided 2 break in2 a unit in her block. He took the lift 2 the highest floor, & noticing tat her window grilles were secured only by cable ties, he found a cutter near some potted plants outside a neighbouring unit & used 2 cut thru the 3 rows of cable ties. The court was not told yesterday why the woman did not use proper locks. Upon entering the flat, Lim went 2 the kitchen 2 get a knife & some string. He then went 2 the bedroom where the woman & her daughter were sleeping & tapped her shoulder. He held her down, tied her wrists behind her back with the string, & blindfolded her with a handkerchief. The woman pleaded with him not 2 harm her & not 2 wake her daughter. He told her he only wanted money & would not touch her if she cooperated. She complied & told him where she kept her valuables. Lim took cash & her cellphone fr her handbag, as well as jewellery & watches worth more than $2,500. But aft taking her valuables, he took her 2 the kitchen, where he assaulted her & even used his cellphone 2 film the episode. As he had his way with her, he taunted her with degrading insults, calling her a wanton woman whose husband would leave her if she went 2 the police. He then lifted her blindfold 4 a moment 2 take a picture of her face. When Lim went 2 her room, the girl was awake. The mother begged 2 be untied so as not 2 alarm her child, & promised him money. Aft she gave him some foreign currency, he left @ abt 4am. The woman put her daughter back 2 sleep, then called her cousin & later, the police. Over the next few days, Lim sold some of the loot in 2nd-hand shops. Tis turned out 2 be his undoing, as the police were able 2 trace his identity & address fr the sales. He was arrested 3 days later. Yesterday, Lim, who was unrepresented, choked as he said tat he did not dare 2 ask 4 the woman’s forgiveness, but tat he wished 2 apologise 2 her.
