The players are not supermen. They need to rest after the hectic schedule of last 2 weeks. Tonight's team was the freshest that Klopp could field.

The League Cup is more accessible as it is semi-final with only 2 more games to go whereas the FA Cup is only in the 3rd round and has another 7 games to play to win it.

I got no complaints about tonight's game as I think the boys did their best.
And the odds were good for a goalless draw..... $130 win for a $10 bet..... should have whacked more on hindsight

Can has lost his sparkle and slows the game down far too much. Stewart may well have provided the owners with a reason to accept a good bid for him and Ojo missed a great laden opportunity to show he can fill in for Mane. Young Ben is showing touches of class for the future though, which is a huge positive.

That said can't blame Klopp for fielding such a team under the circumstances. The lads just did not live up to expectations and all credit to Plymouth.

We move on with the Saints next.

The worst thing is all the big guns won their 3rd round FA cup match except Pool! Mcity, manure, spurs, chelski n arsenal all won n avoided a replay! Something in which Pool should have avoided given the players are all quite injury prone type n already tight Jan fixtures !

Liverpool still has not learned how to break down the bus . Now all teams will park their bus . Really don't understand why Liverpool is unable to win the match. They are making themselves more difficult .

Not a good game at all, quite dire.

Worryingly we created next to nothing, very poor all round.

The only one that gets any credit is Karius.

The most embarrassing moment last night, was Sturridge running around early in the 2nd half with a piece of paper presumably from Klopp, giving tactical instructions. No one knew if the players got them, but the piece of paper had a camera close-up crumpled-up on the pitch a couple of minutes later.

It had absolutely no effect on our performance.

Boy we sure miss Mane.

Hopefully Matip and Henderson are available on Sunday.

Chelsea will be without Costa due to an argument with Conte. The team's motivation will be down and hopefully Leicester can take advantage on this situation.

Liverpool needs to secure 3 points and show the critics we are on the top. Injury news seems to be encouraging.
