Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Liverpool are ready to step up their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund prodigy Christian Pulisic in the wake of injury to Philippe Coutinho, who is expected to be out for up to six weeks with ankle ligament damage.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
It will be very interesting to watch Klopp's plans in the winter transfer market.
We also have the option to recall on loan players such as Markovic. On the positive side at least we might have Lallana available this weekend.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Problem with Pool is there's not enough strength in depth unlike Mcity n Arsenal. Pool is under strength now with injuries to 4 key attacking players n there's no capable replacements apart from Origi.. The rest of players like Stewart, Grusjic, Woodburn etc.. are definitely not ready to fill in their shoes!
Worrying moments from now.... |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Expect Klopp to field a second team against Leeds tonight . Some youngsters may be given a chance. Mignolet to play . Also expect Lucas ; Klavan ; Moreno Stewart to play . Hope Liverpool can still play despite the loss of Coutinho due to injury .

Semi final here we come! Woodburn has replaced Judas(owen) as Pool's youngest goal scorer....

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
The good news are that some players showed potential and we are in the semi finals.
Not too good news is that presently there are 3 good teams like Southamption, Arsenal and Man Utd playing for a place in the semi finals.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
The day Ben Woodburn announced himself to the world & crashed the message boards
What a great moment: Ben Woodburn is the youngest scorer in Liverpool's history, 17 yrs 45 days. Beats Michael Owen (17 yrs 145 days)! Tough game though. Gary monk is builiding a decent side there. Thought our lads did ok, young kids performed well again, shows the future is bright and there is talent at the Academy. What a ball by Trent A-A for the first goal! All in all a good win, no injuries and now hopefully a good draw for the semis. That said, without four frontline forwards here, as well as Adam Lallana, Liverpool looked a shadow of the team that has been so prolific. I really think we need to buy in January under the circumstances. On a moving side note, Liverpool players wore black armbands last night as a mark of respect to those who lost their lives in the tragic plane crash in Colombia, which was carrying members of Chapocoense Football team from Brazil. 'Lucas Leiva, the Brazil international who was captaining Liverpool last night , knew some of the players. He asked Jurgen Klopp if he could wear a black armband. Klopp said the whole Liverpool team would wear them.' YNWA |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Good result to move us onto the next stage of the competition. Some players were not bad while some needs more work as Klopp mentioned.
I think we were very lucky. If not for Leeds' poor finishing and that shot which hit the post we would have been out. Overall we did have some help from our lucky stars. Our team clearly lacks depth and quality. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
I finally find at least there is hope in Liverpool FC . The future looks brighter . Could we be seeing the birth of a new hero ? I hope Origi is alright after he sustained a knock in the match. Would be nice if Liverpool is drawn to face Hull . Sad that Newcastle got knocked out after penalty kicks.

Firmino and Matip will be available to fight for their places this weekend.
Hopefully Lallana is given the green light and our squad should be good.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Ah the holy grail, how I dream of Liverpool winning the EPL as well this season.
Heart says yes but reality check says got a chance but it all depends on whether our best#11 are fit and sharp to play most of time and particularly over the crunch time. All the latest injuries to our most key players + Mane going missing in Jan/Feb for that darn stupid ANC appears to have dealt a serious blow to our chances of winning the EPL. The Reds strength in depth just ain't there at the moment, I think. Chelsea, City and even Arsenal still look to have stronger squads on balance. Like what some others have said above, perhaps alot is now riding on what Klopp and the Liverpool management decide to do over the January transfer period, that and a wee bit of luck! |
