Curtain falls for rubbing wrong way KUALA LUMPUR: Reflexology centres with rooms separated by curtains to provide “extra” services were raided as the police crackdown on vice-related activities intensified. Eleven such centres around the Klang Valley were raided following public tip-off. The raids saw 34 women, aged between 22 and 40, being rounded up for suspected involvement in offering “extra” services to their clients. Also detained for questioning were three outlet operators and 20 customers. Seductive masseurs: Thirty-four women were detained in a crackdown on vice-activities which saw 11 centres raided. They were released after having their statements recorded at the Petaling police station. Police raided nine outlets in Sri Petaling at about 4.30pm yesterday. City anti-vice, gambling and secret societies division (D7) raiding officer Deputy Supt Azman Isa said 26 Chinese women, who entered the country using social visit and student passes, were held. “Some of the outlets have rooms separated by curtains which we believe offer more than just reflexology services. “Checks showed these foreign women have been in and out of the country on numerous occasions,” he said. DSP Azman added that the suspects would be handed over to the Immigration authorities for abusing their passes. Meanwhile, in a separate raid on Sunday, Bukit Aman D7 officers detained eight Chinese women at two similar outlets in Jalan SS2/63 and Jalan SS2/75. The suspects were believed to be offering sexual services to their customers. Raiding officers found three customers in the rooms. Federal CID deputy director Senior Asst Comm Datuk Abdul Jalil Hassan announced the launching of “Ops Noda” to rid Klang Valley of vice-related activities. Cheap flights bringing in Chinese prostitutes LOW air fares and direct flights from 14 destinations in China are among the contributing factors for the influx of Chinese women into the country, reported China Press. The daily quoted a Bukit Aman anti-vice, gaming and secret societies spokesman as saying that these women who had valid travel documents and student visas, blended in Chinese-populated areas with ease as the food, living environment, language and dialects were similar to those in China. “Besides locals, foreigners also prefer them due to lower charges. Guild blows the whistle on ‘ping-pong’ massage ( "urut batin" ) in KK KOTA KINABALU: Men who frequent joints to get a “ping-pong” massage claim it helps improve their sexual prowess. The authorities, however, frown upon these so-called male sexual enhancement services and are in no mood to be part of the game. Locally known as urut batin or rawatan batin, these services are nothing more than genital massages – thus the tagline, “ping-pong” massage – and is said to be widespread in peninsular Malaysia. The so-called enhancement therapy involves female masseuses massaging the genitals of male clients for about RM50 for 30 minutes. Traditional and Complementary Medicine Practitioners Association of Sabah president Datin Dorothea Justin Moduying said they had received many letters and e-mails about massage parlours in the city providing such “services”. “Operators offering such services claim it is a treatment for erectile dysfunction. “As far as we are concerned, urut batin is a form of abuse,” she added. She said the association brought up the matter with the Sabah office of the Health Ministry’s traditional and complementary medicine division. Sabah police commissioner Datuk Hamzah Taib said action would be taken against those who operate businesses that involved vice activities. “Local authorities must also do their part by ensuring that conditions and rules in the licences of premises are strictly adhered to,” he told The Star yesterday. ----- KatoeyNewsNetwork
