The aircon jeepney from airport to checkpt does operate 24hrs, but if jeep is not half full, they will ask each passenger to pay 100p instead of 50p.

Maingate route no. 1 non-aircon jeep to airport is 12p, sometimes seeing foreigner they ask 15p n some even don't give change when u give a 20p notes. It stop abt 300m sometimes 400m from the airport so prepared to walk.
Or u can charter the whole aircon jeepney parked parallel across for 250p to airport departure building..
That is their money grabbing attitude everywhere so try to give exact amount when deal w those small businesses except for enterprises.

I went to a foodstall asking price of a set of breakfast n 40p is the answer.
I ordered 2 sets, gave a 100p bill n got a change of 5p.
I told her she said 40p for 1 set, she gave me another 10p telling me 5p is for the 2 styrofoam.
Though few pesos is no big deal but just disgusted at their bloody attitude.


25 Feb

After Petite girl left at 6am, slept till 3pm.
5pm walked to checkpt to hv lunch, expecting Favorite waitress appt after her work at 8pm.

See, I always take small change when I am landing in Philippines, or keep some change from last trip, because most taxi drivers will suddenly have no change and what will you do ? leave your luggage and all in the taxi and go to a nearby shop to change ? or demand that he must have change when he has no intention of giving you change ?

be streetwise, and don't annoy the locals .. you got more to loose than them ..

When in Manila taking a white taxi to five stars station, meter appeared 78p n i hand over 100p n said "80p right?" . He gave me 20p back.
There is also a number to call for complaints so for taxis should always ask for change back unless u want to tip.
Avoid the yellow ones which charge much higher or hv a tampered meter.

Jeepneys r in terms of coins, so losses is neglible.

Not only in philipines, when in any foreign country we should try to be low profile not to say annoy anyone. Basic common sense.

Have always been taking airport jeepney on arrival during daytime and private taxi when leaving. Maybe next trip can take jeepney to airport and save some pesos. Haha.
