Most of them took up basic english course, facial & beauty courses, hair-grooming courses. Some even took up chinese literature teaching in some CCs.

Bro, seems like we were in the same boat once. I've to wait for quite some time as well. The most important thing is the "户口本" as it will show up that she is married. This will need to be submitted as part of the approval process in Singapore, so you need to ensure she is formally divorce in her country before getting married with her.

Quite easy for your case lah...Since her "ex-hubby" is currently considered as "通婚", it should be an easy case to handle. Employed a PI to take photos as proof and have it submitted to court for divorce if he refuse to divorce. This will be a very good evident used against him for getting a legal divorce from the court. It will only take 3 months (most province) at most even if he refuse.

Employing a china PI is not easy, like singapore. Their asking fee may be a massive amount. Better solution is to engage thru' proper channel.

hi brother johnny 88, thanz for the encouragement. i am sure you know how agonising it is for me especially when you had gone thru it yourself. you just gave me hope, her 户口本 actually is a city one so does not reflect her marital status, i checked with her recently, so maybe there is hope? my problem is more complicated than you can imagine, she has a son and she wants custody of him cos the father is not taking care of him at all, my wife-to-be's mother has been taking care of him since they parted years ago. I have no problem accepting her son but the husband may not give in that easily. Heaven pls help!!!

i am Malaysian Citizen,also a Singapore Permanent Residence.And my gf is Thai citizen.
1.if want to ROM,only ROM at one country and then notify the other 2 country?
2.if ROM at Sg,first is check at MOM,personally go there with my gf?and the result will known how long?

currently just these 2 question,when have will ask again..thanks all..

You just choose your country of your choice to get married, preferably in Thailand, [If you wish to live with her], malaysia [If she's going over to live with you] or in Singapore [The place you may find your advancement there] There's no requirement for you to notify each and every country of your martial status.

If your gerfrd is not an ex/work permit holder in singapore, then no need to go MOM. You can proceed to register your marriage in here provided there's sufficient validity for her to stay till the ROM ceremony.

I have been following this thread all the time. Just to share a little info.
I think in China, PI is still not recognise so as their evidence.
I remember saw this report on TV, wife engaged PI, to trace his husband. She confronted the husband with the intimate photos. Later, husband file for divorce, claiming the wife invaded his privacy.

if i marry her in thailand,that mean i have to get a copy of statement from either singapore police or malaysia police to state that i am not a criminal right?(coz i ever read that need to get statement from police)\

You are right, their judicial system still quite conservative. Especially the men there are domineering lot.

If you are still working in Singapore, you can obtain one from cantonment police HQ. I think that's depend what passport or origin you are holding right now. If you are still holding the malaysian passport, get the statement from the Malaysia PF.

Things have changed quite a bit in China recently and they are now giving more protection to women especially in larger cities. PI would cost you about 5000 RMB for two to three days work (only photos). Alternatively, go and consult a lawyer in China and they usually charge about 3-4K RMB and they will do all the work and tell u how to go about getting a divorce. A separation for more than a year will usually be easy to get a divorce legally. They do not need to arrange for paper work to get separation like in Sillypore. Just need to provide enough evidences will do. Even though "户口本" not showing her true marital status will also result in future problem if her ex-hubby file for a complain when he found out about your marriage. She will be jailed for 3 years in China and you might also be implicated.

For CCs, you can go to their office reception to ask for application. For schools, you need to apply thru' MOE, Successful applicants who are Non-Singapore Citizens / Non-Singapore Permanent Residents (PR) may be offered employment on contract terms. And they are offered contract terms.

Successful applicants will be awarded an initial teaching contract period of 2 to 3 year.
