Hi bros, new to the KTV scene so just wanna get some opinions..

Few days back, my friends and I went to Clubs Sands for HH. Quality of girls there superb. Nice and clean place too. But the downside is the "excessive tips".

When we started the session, a waiter came and poured us the drinks. Mummy havent come so the waiter brought in the girls. Throughout the whole session, a few waiters came in and poured drinks for us randomly.

At the end of the session, when we checking out, suddenly everyone came to collect tips. Not blatantly but everyone just stood around when we were tipping the girls. End up we pay close to a 100 for tips for Mummy and waiters.. Honestly mummy only come in towards the end of the session. I dont see why i should tip?

Just asking bros, is that standard practice for Viet KTVs in general or applies to Club Sands only? Or we should not even pay?!

This happen in K2 ktv as well.

was during happy hour when one waiter came in and attend to us. she help us pour drink. that was ok. the not ok part is that she instantly after that ask for tips? i was like wtf? our session havent even ends leh. so just give her.

half an hour later, another waitress come in. this time round she didnt pour drinks. instead she lay down wet tissue on the our table for us to use. then she ask for tip. wtf again?? i pissed off and just give her $5. LOL

I guess the trick is when we are there we need to be firm mentally and verbally.

Tell the waiters straight you don't need them to pour drinks or get the mummy to do some control.

I haven't been to club sands, but it sure works for K2.

bro, i don't think i will give those 2 waitress at K2 any tips lo. I haven't enjoyed yet, why tip? Maybe i am stingy ba..

bro, it's common for many waiters taking turns to come in and beer for customers. it's up to you to control who stay to 'service' you. You can tell the manager str8-forward that you don't need so many waiters. Or maybe your gang/room is bigger?
Well, in the end, just tip 1 or 2 waiters which you noticed they really come in often and pour beer for you. Service =)

For your mummy tips Q, i went before Sands during HH on Sunday evening. I think is the manager attended to us, Mummy came only later in the night but did not enter our room.
As so, we tipped the manager, his waiter and our ladies.
Maybe the mummy helped you to gather the ladies back to your room? So when your session ends, she just stick around for service fee.

I personally prefer Phoenix. There not pushy and no mummy system though gals tend to butterfly alot on weekends. Tips last time minimum 20 bucks but now i think rose to 30 but i believe still relatively cheaper than most places.

That place is a Viet place so don't expect Chinese or Thais. Playability depends but generally i just like the place due to non-pushy ambience.

Tips 20-30 service is so so.

Yea bro I was at Club sands HH last week and I felt the same way as you. Seems like they are finding excuses to appear in your room to provide redundant services to ask for tips. I really dont see the sense of them automatically serving themselves with our drinks and cheers with us. If i am playing games with the ladies and they top up my drink, I wont like it since i will loose 'count' of my penalties and result in drinking more. Then again this is business tactic so what can we say haha
