If you want local chinese, it's easier to just get on Tinder and match local chinese girls there. There are plenty of local chinese looking for a chance to have sex with a handsome white western man for free.

But if you want to pay for sex, there aren't many places with local Indonesian Chinese girls. You can more easily find mainland Chinese girls who speak no English and no Indonesian in places like Malioboro.

I kinda disagree. Using social media to find panlok, or local chinese indonesian girls yield very few results. Reason being that the local chinese put up high resistance to engage with strangers. This is due to the past history of Chinese persecution in Indonesia. There is this persitence 'us and them' mentality lingering, although it is now lesser among the younger generation, even unpopular. But nonetheless the girls' shields are up against strangers.

The best way to find panlok is just to go to those local wholesale/retail centres where most Indonesian chinese conduct their businesses. Get to know them directly and ask them out.

Using Tan tan or tinder will get you pass the initial get to know and then chat, but rarely into meet up.

My own observation. You may have other experience though,but in general it is not easy to get panlok through social media apps.
