Benteke and Carroll are not miles apart.

It's not fair to compare like this as Bentake was out injured for most of last season. In fact he only played the last 12 league games for AV and scored a total of 12 goals. That is 100% record of 1 goal per game...... which striker is able to match that? The comparison should be based on goals per game average instead of total goals for the entire season.

Bentake has played a total of 101 games in the BPL and scored 49 times. That's a goal return of 48.5% and very few strikers can match that. Not even Benzema or Higuain can come close to that scoring average. I fully support the move to bring Bentake into the Liverpool team.

Headers? Halo doggy... Bentake is a shorty so he dun have the height for heading. Carroll is similar to Balotelli... both are static players who WAIT for the ball delivered to them. Bentake playing style is different from those two. He likes to move around and cause confusion in the opponents defence and he can powerful shooting from both feet. His main attributes is his strength, mobility and powerful shots. His weakness is he is not a 90 minute player and injury prone like Sturridge.

You have to observe the picture holistically.
The goals came from crosses into the box.
This is not Liverpool's game as Rodgers prefers to play the ball from the back in a passing game.
That is the reason Rodgers like technical players.
Also 13 goals from almost 30 matches does not make him a outstanding striker.
This move for Benteke is a projection of desperation from the club and signals a major gamble and risk for the future, which in my thoughts, will not pay off.
To add to that, he is injury prone too.

I looked up various clips of him in action these past two days and actually I kinda like what I see. His style reminds me of Kevin Keegan. I wouldn't mind having him in my team if I am manager of any BPL club.
