Since you brought up this subject. Viagra is cheaper in reputable pharmacies here in PP, but not by much, and I am talking about the real stuff, not China-made knock-offs.

What is interesting are Kamagra and the Cialis generic, Synalis. I've tried both and they worked as advertised, primarily because they are the genuine stuff from the Indian factories. Kamagra costs USD 1.70 for 4 (100mg) and Synalis costs USD2.20 or so for 4 (20mg).

I sent some back to friends and the reactions came back mixed. Some said Kamagra gave them headaches, others said it gave them gastrics, these are symptoms of sidanafil, the active ingredient in Viagra, Kamgra and a hosts of other Sidanafil generics.

I don't use Synalis because unlike tourists who come here on a fucking binge, I don't need the duration Synalis offers. Once the night before and another the morning after is adequate.

I reckon if anyone is interested, we could set up a distribution network in SG, maybe Kamagra at SGD8 for a pack of 4 (100mg) and Synalis at SGD10 for 4 (20mg). Freight by courier is expensive ex-PP, unless I could find people like air crews to hand carry. There's no death penalty for ED medications, is there?

Anyone interested?

Re: Khmer Diary

Our primary objective for the trip to the Kien Svay monkey farm was, well, to get away from the madding crowd once in a while, even though it is only half an hour outside of Phnom Penh. The other people with me were Phanna, owner of a bar I frequent, whose uncle owns a villa not to far away from the monkey farm which he is keen to let; AH, my snooker kaki, is the manager at the farm, and who wants to take a look at the villa to house some of his expat staff who now resides at a nearby guesthouse. So I guess you can call me the go-between, only I don't profit from the deal. The other person on board was a close friend and drinking kaki.

After the short farm visit, it was lunch at one of the many restaurants by the Mekong river a short distance away. The restaurants were built on stilts. That part of the river is slow moving with very little traffic except for a couple of ferries headed for Vietnam, carrying people, goods even a few cars. Such an idyllic scene, completely relaxing. The service was quick and efficient, a few of the young waitresses were are quite good looking although the overall packaging was drab. Dolled up I reckon a couple of them could be stunners. Phanna told us they could be had for like $20. Hmmm…..

We had a tasty kampong chicken, a BBQ toman, very good, and lots of Angkor beer. The afternoon heat was making us sleepy and we need a place to cool off. On the way here the Cobra 2 KTV was pointed out to me and a discussion on the 'virtues' of the place ensued, how 'happening' it was and how it still is, so it looks like that’s where we’d be heading right after this.

I felled asleep immediately the moment I got in the car and prodded to wake up when we arrived at Cobra. We were herded into a room big enough for 20. 3 girls were brought in shortly, I was only focused on 2, I mean 1 who had her D-cup size melons almost barely concealed by her black ultra low-cut miniskirt. The other 3, knowing my thing for tits, called the girl to sit with me. She sat immediately on my lap, facing me. I was surprised to see she wore panties, I mean most girls, all that I know anyway, in Phnom Penh wear short pants, or do we call them hotpants, underneath. It’s so refreshing to see panties. Smooth. Thin. Silky panties.

We ordered Angkor bottles. A case came in. We drank, and we sang. We grouped, we sucked tits, we played games, 2 dice, throw 7 and the thrower fills up his/her glass, 8 and drink half a glass, 9 it’s bottoms-up. Throw double 1s and the girl gets her nipples licked, and the guy gets to lick whoever he pleases. A pair of any number and she gets her tits massaged while he get to massage her tits. Great game. All good things come to an end.

The bill came to $150+ for 24 bottles of Angkor, $2.70 for a beer and the rest for the nuts and stuff. A couple of bucks for the 2 service staff. The norm is $10 for the hostesses, but I think most of us paid a little more than that.

We told the girls the next time we come, we’ll barfine them for a day at the villa, have a BBQ, drink beer and fish in the huge pond at the villa’s doorstep. Wow, they were so excited at the prospect. Tits, I think I’ll call her that, asked me whether I live at the villa and said that she can go back with me. I said no, I live in Phnom Penh and she no problem for her as well. I told her I see her next time we go the villa, I really need my sleep. We exchanged numbers and left.

I reached home at around 10pm and was in bed by 11.30. The phone rang and it was Tits, she said she wanted to be with me and could she come. I looked at the time and it was 2.30am. I told her again, next week and went back to sleep.

When I said earlier that KTVs hold no interest for me, well, if all KTVs is as happening as Cobra, I retract my statement. With this, I stand corrected and hope this brings closure to the episode.

Re: Khmer Diary

Last night at around 1am, while we were sitting inside the shop because it was drizzling, the first time for like 4 months, we heard a loud scrapping noise outside. Our initial reactions were wow, it's pouring outside. Our necks craned outside but it wasn't. Just then a car sped by, leaving a trail of sparks.

We clambered out and managed to see the car turned the corner 30 meters or so away. Show's over and we went back in to avoid getting wet. Phnom Penh is full of drunken drivers after midnight. 2 months ago the police launched a campaign against drunken drivers amidst some media fanfare, but we know what it all means. More avenues for augmenting the income for the boys in brown. Well, I have not seen a single police check since. I could only surmise the operation is halted because too many 'important' people are getting caught.

Back to that speeding car. One of the boys came in a while later and told me the car stopped just after rounding the corner, the driver came out to extricate the motorcycle that was pinned under it, and sped off again. I walked there to take a look and saw a bashed up motorbike on the side of the road. A crowd had already formed and the police arrived shortly after. I was told a biker has been knocked down at the Sydney Shopping Ctr, a click down the road and probably killed, the driver did not stop and dragged the bike under all the way to where we were.

Cambodia has one of the highest road deaths in the world, some 2000 plus in 2010. Of the serious accidents, almost half (49%) were hit and run cases.

No. The one I refer to is at a suburb (not too long ago absorbed by Phnom Penh, so real estate has sky-rocketed) called Kien Svay, where the Tiger Brewery is.

Yes, there's a Cobra at Pasteur. Never been there so I can't comment on it.

Re: Khmer Diary

Wow, what a Diary! I found this last night and after I started reading quite soon it became clear that I'm going to do so for a while. So I decided to make a drink and continued reading. So interesting stories! Every now and then my mind started drifting and in my mind I was already in PP... then suddenly realized that I just sit here alone staring at the display but don't see anything

I just couldn't stop and even forgot to say good night to kids too, not to mention my wife. Yeah, I heard them yelling something but just told them I will come in a minute. After a few hours and several drinks I had read all the 15 pages through. Some time went also to google some of the places mentioned. Today I woke up so late that it didn't make sense to to go to the office at all and decided to have one of those "remote work" days

Faidenk, I'll come to PP on April 13th. Can't wait to get there and sample some local talent, my virgin trip to Cambodia. It would be my pleasure to meet you too. If you are interested in to have a few drinks and rounds of snooker, please drop me a PM. I'll stay in Eureka Villas, hopefully a girl-friendly place, and no joiner fees.

Re: Khmer Diary

Boy, I really wish I read this thread before I went to PP to do my thai visa run. Instead I spent an evening walking around aimlessly ducking in and out of bars looking like a dumbfuck tourist. I stayed at Flamingos because they offered airport pickup since it was my first time in PP. I also visited the Shanghai bar around the corner and the ladies there told me that you had to drink $30 worth before they would entertain being propositioned.

That's a silly unofficial "barfine" so I said I thought that sounded wrong and they got up and walked off. Sigh. I talked with the seedy looking canadian "co-manager" there and he claimed they had to do that because the cops were on their case for charging official barfines. I don't know what the real story is but it seems not on the up and up to me. There were a couple lookers but they were more interested in trying to get me to buy her friends ladydrinks. After 3 drinks I got up and left with blueballs and boredom.

If I go out there again I would love to try the restaurant owned by faidenk. I only had 2 days so I obviously didn't experience everything I could have and I didn't have anyone to hang out with. I didn't care much for the angmoh expats I met around there.

Bro, the 13th is the first day of Cambodian New Year, same as in Thailand. It might be a good idea to postpone the trip as most of the service providers (girls) will be going back to their provinces, most places will be closed too.

I;ll PM you my mobile.

Hello Faidenk,

I've been reading your thread the whole day yesterday and it is your down to earth writing that has prompted me to register into this forum. I was in PP earlier last month to scout for some biz opportunity and will be coming back to PP next Sunday (17/4). It would be an honour to meetup with you; at the very least try your much praised BKT. Would you be kind enough to PM me your mobile, name of your establishment and address? I look forward to meeting up with you

Already PM you. If you could give me a heads-up of the type of biz you are in perhaps I could into some people who might be able to give you some insight of the Cambodian market. You may also need to know the following type of people like bankers, insurance brokers, people who can help you set up your company in a express lane if required, and so on.
