Heng I never watch the game. Usually Liverpool after the international break don't perform well. We need to give the new players time to settle down. Later will go watch the game.BR had got more work to do.

Lallana was not match ready.

Rodgers should have played Lucas to anchor the midfield with Gerrard and Henderson as Villa's three man midfield was doing a decent job.

The only Liverpool player who stood out for me was Continho.

Guess many bros watched the game but were too sick to post. Usually there'll be a flood of posts on match day. Really demoralizing to lose at home n to a mid table team so early in the season.

Honestly I expected a tough game fr Villa, we'll struggle for 3 pts but didn't expect to play so badly, esp 1H n end up with zero. Despite havin regulars out thru injuries our backup still looked strong. It was a pity BR's gamble to leave out Raheem fr the starting lineup backfired.

But I find it strange why the players were playing like strangers when it was largely the same team, minus Raheem n Sturridge who thrashed Spurs 0-3. I agree starting with a regular like Lucas or Allen (if fit) n throwing in Lallana later on might hv better effect but then no use to have after-match talk now.

Credit to the Villains for playing as a unit n restricting Pool to chances esp in 1H. In all fairness a draw would hv been a fairer result, but alas, Cout hit the post late ... N it was not gonna be our day.

haizzzz...once of those days...Pool were down 1 goal at 9 mins but failed to come back...what else to say...BR tried his best to rescue putting in strikers...but we have no luck...destined to be tough season...

looks like chelsea setting the tone this season...can they go on unbeaten...then everyone else fighting for 2nd...

Liverpool defended the game poorly. It is clear that Villa came with a game plan and that is to get a goal and than sit back to defend. They really parked the bus in front of Liverpool leaving only 1 player upfront. Credit to Villa for being the better team who took the game to Liverpool. Like I said before BR is clueless about defending. It is no point you are great at attacking but if you keep on conceding goals like that.This time there is no SAS to bail Liverpool up.If Liverpool defended this poorly against Villa I dread to imagine what will happen in the Champions League.

What came out in the match against Villa, apart from the Reds defensive frailty, is the fact that Balotelli needs others to open space for him to be effective. Think Mario played quite well, just that he had no help in opening up spaces for him. Hope to see Lallana and Markovic getting up to speed soon, to take off the pressure from Sturridge and Sterling.

Anyways looking forward to Liverpool's long over due return to CL footie later this week.
