Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Some of us voiced concerns if Pool would 'do a Spurs' this season.
BR heard us, he has spoken, and hopefully he'll get his act right! ------------ Brendan Rodgers Hits Out at Liverpool's Comparisons With Tottenham Hotspur Brendan Rodgers has hit back at critics who have been comparing Liverpool's summer transfer activity with Tottenham's similar attitude last season, which failed massively. The similarities are easy to see: Both clubs' best attacking players left to go to Spain for over £70m, and then they both spent around £100m on new players to try and get or retain Champions League football. Liverpool have signed six players so far - Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren, Emre Can, Lazar Markovic and Divock Origi - just one short of Tottenham's 'Magnificent Seven' of last summer. But Rodgers has rejected the comparisons, saying: “We are a different club and it’s a different vision that we have here. “There is a strategy behind what we are doing. We were talking with the recruitment team last season and we knew that we needed to improve the depth of our squad. “Last season, we weren’t strong enough in depth in numbers and quality so we were always earmarked in the summer to bring in a number of players, hoping that we were in the Champions League so that we could try to challenge on all fronts. “The players that we have brought in have a clear profile of the role that we want them to play and we see them as players who can develop in the future as well.” http://www.ftbpro.com/posts/chris.de...tenham-hotspur

If Bony is priced too high, think Reds should look elsewhere. Was disappointed to read that Antoine Griezmann has moved to A. Madrid, think he may have been a good target for the Reds. On Lukaku, I doubt Mourhino would allow him to move to EPL rivals. |

I think seriously that SG really needs to change his pair of boots. Firsst time I saw Lucas provide an assist to Sterling which the young lad scored. I must say Mignolet was outstanding in the penalty shootout. Emre Can looks promising. The minue he came on , Liverpool took control of the midfield. Lots of promising on this young lad. He will definitely give SG and Lucas a run for their money.

Both equalizing goals from Hendo and Sterling were fantastic strike from inside box near the edge...it good to see they are having confidence to strike from that distance..but worrying point is still the defence..

SG is NOT a DM , he is much better as a AM. Yap I also heard that Lucas maybe on loan to Napoli next season. It is good to see that there are many options for BR to choose in midfield. What Liverpool now needs are 2 more strikers.

He probably can last 60 mins or less if deployed in AM again. HIs vision is passing is better in DM now. Needs a good striker to assist DS whom i think is still not good enough.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
MD Ian Ayre has flown to Spain in an attempt to hurry along negotiations which have continued for most of the summer over Sevilla left back Alberto Moreno, and right sided defender Javier Manquillo of Atletico Madrid.
