Did anyone read BR's blog?
I was surprised to read that BR & LS both had a heartfelt discussion about LS leaving for Barrcelona BEFORE LS left for WC duty with Uruguay.
That meant BR was aware that LFC will most probably be without LS for next season.

This piece of news has been very strong in Spain over the weekend.

Luis has agreed terms with Barcelona in a deal worth 30 million euros which will see Alexis Sanchez arrive at Anfield. The total package worth around 50 million pounds.

However, owner John Henry is holding on for a 70 million pounds offer for Mr. I Bite.

Alexis Sanchez: fsg have been in talks with barca regarding his move to liverpool and suarez is not part of that deal...barca cant afford suarez...i dont know if the situation has changed....after the biting incident...the idea was to have sanchez to strenghten the team and not sell our best player...until liverpool makes a statement that LS is leaving us for good pls dont just any how hatam those newspaper reports....shanchez is good but not as good as suarez..he does not score 20 goals or more a season.why wld we want a palyer plus cash...when we cld get $100 mil for him...sanchez dont even play regularly at barca.i think pool is right in holding on to him for the right price...just cos of the biting incident we shd not get less for LS....BARCA are on a decline and messi is king...why wld he want to go there.if it was real madrid i wld roll out the red carpet for LS to leave...for the right price.

good take the money...that is my opinion...how can we afford to lose an important player from Aug to Oct in a new season...if he had played beginning of last season then we may have been runaway champ....haizzz...

yes take the money... BARCA must be bonkers to pay $80mil for a player who is out for 4 mths of thier domestic league and the champs league.he cant even train or watch games...at the training ground or the stadium...seriously wat are they smoking up there.lol lol.the uruguayan fa has lodged an appeal....we might get a clearer picture after the outcome of the appeal.really feel sori for u liverpool fans....u have the best player in the world who is el loco.

If Barca pays 80 mil and have Suarez for a year only then it is stupid to pay so much but he will be there for years... Buying a high profile player is not mainly just for football... there are other marketing and reasons. Modern football is not only a game but instead it is a business empire.

I believe if ever Barca signs Suarez they might impose some kinda 'biting clause' or sorts with legal implications n heavy penalty should he commit similar or sillier mistakes!
