Day 2

Woke up and left my hotel for some sight-seeing around 10 plus their local time. First stop is the Central Market which was located just beside Faidenk’s cafe. The place is kinda like Bangkok Chatuchak. The difference is it’s smaller and doesn’t really have nice and wide range of stuffs. We shopped and walked till 11-ish am before heading to Faidenk’s cafe for lunch.

We reached Faidenk’s cafe before Faidenk came in. So we planned to wait for him before ordering anything else. In my group of 3 guys, only me and another smokes. In Cambodia, basically u can have your cigarette anywhere as long as there is the “No Smoking” sign. And I really mean anywhere… Even air-conditioned places. That might just be one of the perks to party there. Hahaha.

Faidenk came in around 12pm and he recommended his Hainanese Chicken Rice and Bak Kut Teh. Both dishes are damn nice. Have those Singapore feel in it. Basically to cut short everything, Faidenk’s cafe sells Singapore foods. From chicken rice to prawn noodles, from kway chap to curry chicken. He even have kaya-eggs set for breakfast!!!

We chatted and Faidenk’s Friend 1 came to his cafe too and had lunch. We left the cafe around 1.15pm to catch our chartered boat ride on the Mekong River (Excluding Faidenk & Company). Was excited thou. Wondering what we will see. Had to wait for a friend of ours to join us before we can head out. While waiting, we chilled at a place called Titantic. It’s a restaurant where they serves food and drinks. And guess how much is the Mango Fruit Juice is? 5 USD. That’s right. We tourists are the victims. Met up with our friend and headed out for our boat ride around 2pm.

The boats we had is a double decked kind. Imagine Singapore double decked buses with no windows. That’s how it’s kinda looks like. Was told the boat ride is chartered by our friend and it will finish roughly 6pm. From 2pm – 6pm? Where the hell they taking us to??

1 ½ hours on the boat ride, we saw nothing but those Riverside buildings and gazillion tons of water. Some slums here and there. Plenty of trees, cows & buffalos here and there… It’s a 3rd world country after all. Soon after we pit stop an island. My guess the name of that island is Mekong island. They brought us to this Khmer Traditional Silk Weaving House. There’s just this old landed property with like 3 girls hand weaving the silks using those old technology. Keep asking us to buy the products… Na, not what we wanna buy so end up no one buys anything. The boatman seems pissed thou… Haha.
We headed back to the boat in just 5 mins of walking around the house. The boat left that island and headed to the directions where we came from!! WTF!!?? 4 hrs of boat ride just to see that with to-and-fro??? Anyway, on the way back we saw more slums on water. Those people there really have what many Singaporeans’ big dreams of living by the sea/river. Kinda sad thou, to see the living conditions of the kids being raised like that. But that’s life isn’t it?

Was about to reach our departing area, Faidenk called to ask us guys to join him and Friend 1 to a Snooker cum KTV club. It’s called Nan Jing Snooker & KTV Club. It’s just like any snooker centre in Singapore with the exceptions of having a KTV on the 2nd floor. There’s only 2 KTV rooms for the whole place. And each room is big.

Only 2 of us 3 guys went over as the other have other business plans. Anyway, the 2 of us arrived at Nan Jing Snooker & KTV Club around 7 plus. Met up with Faidenk and Friend 1. They recommended us another friend of theirs. That’s Friend 2. Nice guy with great hospitality shown on us too. Most girls have left around that time. Not sure why so early, but who cares, the night is still young. Faidenk & Company had girls with them already and Faidenk was slapped with a surprised gift from one of the girls there before we arrived. HAHAHAHA…. We drank and played till 11 plus and Faidenk & Company brought us to another KTV place to drink. Wow, they can really drink sia…. I was like tipsy and all already…

Faidenk & Company brought us to this place called Mega I guess (correct me if I’m wrong Faidenk… Memory lost… Hahaha.) It’s a posh KTV. Like Singapore’s Tiananmen in River Valley. The place is not too much my cup of tea as they girls there are more like gold-diggers or like what Faidenk’s Friend 1 said, “Chee bye made of gold”. Hahahaha. Looks wise, they are ok. Service, na… Just sit and don’t play much. But only Faidenk’s Friend 2 is having tons of fun as he have been patronizing there for a long long time. Haha. 1-ish in the morning, 4 of us bid our goodbyes to Friend 2 and we head out to another place for entertainment.

Faidenk, Friend 1, me and my friend went back to Pub 136 and see if we can get something out of there. Haha. I was actually interested in Faidenk’s first girl he had on my DAY 1 post. But too bad, she’s doesn’t seems to be around when Faidenk called her. Anyway, found back the Fuck Machine and keep deciding to go or not. End up after a few more rounds of beers, I decided to have her. My friend tried to get one from Sizzlers but she’s like “chee bye made of gold” kind. But, she have a tight and nice body with rack… Woo hooo… Too bad, she doesn’t want and my friend can’t find any suitable for him.

Faidenk went over to Pub 136 and help me pay the Bar Fine for her first as she was with a customer when I tried to approached her. Bar Fine was 7 USD. She’s ready to go. I paid Faidenk back and proceed to go over to Pub 136. 60USD is the price to bring FM overnight. Friend 1 had too much drinks so he went back home first. Faidenk left after. My friend and I together with FM took a tuk tuk together as I need a hotel room. The driver brought me to a hotel nearby (forgotten it’s name… too tipsy…). Booked a hotel at 15 USD for the whole night. Check-out time for all hotels is till 12pm the following day. So all in all, damage is 82 USD for a girl overnight. Go figure if it’s expensive or cheap for you.

FM service is ok. But she keeps wanting more and more. No wonder she’s FM… Hahaha. She have so much GFE shown that for a moment, I thought I was in love with her. Wahahaha. Had 2 rounds and I’ve K.O till the morning.

P.S : FM seems to be shy in the pub but she was playful on the bed. Wahaha… Faidenk was not wrong to call her a FM and I keep forgetting places cause I kept drinking non stop with Faidenk & Company!!! Faidenk & Company's hospitality is really admirable. *salute*

Arrived in Cambodia round 6 plus their local time. (Cambodia have an hour earlier timezone to Singapore.) Hotel stay is in Inter-Continental. (Don’t really know the road name thou. Kinda difficult to pronounce them… Hahaha.)

The Intercon is on Mao Tze Toung Boulevard.

Took a tuk tuk and went for dinner in a place along the Riverside (which I don’t know the road name). The price for a tuk tuk is around 3 USD from my place to the Riverside. (After negotiation ya…) It’s still quite a distance to there, so I guess 3 USD is kinda standard rate for it. For nearbys, it should be around 1-2 USD, still depending on the distance.

I think $3 is a fair price but it could a bit lower. However for about the same price you could have taken a meter taxi. The taxi flag-down rate is $1, and $0.1 every 200m or so. The white taxis are slightly cheaper than the yellow. I think the meter runs a bit faster after a certain distance so for shorter trips it's sometimes cheaper than taking a tuk-tuk.

He was playing with a cowboy guy in a game of pool. Faidenk is a real good player. All you guys better watch out when u challenge him there….

This cowboy, everyone calls him Cowboy, is quite a character. I've never seen him in anything else but his cowboy gear. He is a tuk-tuk driver, really, and speaks excellent English. Very friendly but a mean pool player.

I like the Pickled Parrot, nice cosy pub with I reckon the best 9' pool table in PP. Every Tuesday it's $2 a head to participate in their pool comp. Winner gets $25 or $50 bar tab and runner-up $10 or $20, depending on the number of participants. Very good atmosphere and they serve great Ozzie food. The owner's a Aussie. Looking at the way the bar is run and maintain, I think their guest house upstairs would be pretty comfortable and clean.

Faidenk is a regular customer of the pubs around those streets. So naturally, you see girls flocked to him than to u first. Hahaha. Any ways, in the 2nd pub, Faidenk had this young girl attached to him. She’s one of the beautiful ones that I have seen there. And trust me when I say she’s beautiful as my standards of beautiful girls are quite high. It’s not common to see such girls in those areas. She have a nice big rack, nice body and most importantly, it’s her face. She had a face of an innocent-SYT-virgin kind. Me and my friends didn’t have any girls attached with us as none of the girls there “suits” us. But who knows, maybe one of those girls are some of you guys’ taste. KTVs don't really interest me much. I go only when I have to. The girls, usually Viets, are too mercenary and shallow for me, besides being too expensive.

A couple of nights ago, I was at a disco across the road from my shop with bro Geeky Magician and friends. At about 1am I received a call from my staff saying my friends came and requested my presence. From across the road I could see 3 young men sitting at a table outside but none I could recognize. I approached them and asked if they were Bong’s friends (Bong is a Philippino I met in the previous week’s pool comp at the Pickled Parrot Pub). The 3 young men stared at me blankly and I apologized. If turned out they were the driver and bodyguards of the men I was about to meet.

I went into the shop and was greeted by a Singaporean, K, who comes every so often. He was with 2 other middle-aged men. Their faces were flushed with too much alcohol. I sat down and K introduced the 2 men, one of them, a Cambodian, is a General and the other a Cambodian Chinese businessman. The businessman gave me his business card. It reads Oknha XXXXXX.

The title Oknha, to simplify explanation, is similar to the Malaysian Tan Sri, bestowed to any Cambodian or foreigner who makes a financial or material donation with a value of more than US$100,000 to the state. There is a total of 220 oknhas in Cambodia in 2008. It is safe to say the large majority of them are businessmen.

The Oknha speaks excellent English and Teochew, he reminds me of a taller and bulkier Thaksin. He ordered 4 more beers. When the beers arrived, he spoke something to the General, who from his pocket took out a snub-nose pistol, a Beretta I think it was. He popped out the magazine, pulled the chamber slide back, then demonstrated opening popping the cap off with the muzzle. He then handed the pistol to me and asked me to open the remaining 3 bottles. If he thought it would faze me, well maybe it did but I sure did not show it. Us Sinkies are used to firearms. It felt surprising heavy in my hand, but good. I kept my index finger across the trigger guard, and popped the caps off.

So, the thing is this, what is the point of the demonstration? To impress? Trying to say hey! I’ve a longer dick? or trying to compensate for a short one. Drunk isn’t an excuse, not when someone is maimed or worse, killed.

Thanks Faidenk, time to set up a Kamagra factory and licenced to dispense to all SBFers. Hehehe. At least there is a wider range of entertainment in PP than in S'bore. Never been there yet, some day will try as a group tour. Have fun and cheers. Logan.
