Re: All you need to know about Genital Herpes
To all bros here,
I have quit cheonging for 6 mths nw. Therefore i wantes to have a clear out of myself. I went to see a GP near my place. He ask me to take an antibody bloody test. Result come out herpes 2 positive. my friends ask me to get 2nd opinion from other doctor, therefore went see my family doctor, i told him abt my blood test and finding, he told me in the 1st place i shld not go for antibody bloody test cos most ppl have herpes antibody in them.No matter how u test also positive. He ask me of any symtoms, i told him not at all. Then he told me not to worry, i did not have it. feeling uneasy i went to another GP, but he told me exactly the same things as my GP. Any bros here got tested positive with no symtoms at all. The last 2 GP told me no doctor will patient to go for herpes antibody blood test. Cos it is insynificant. Any commend bros here. |

Re: All you need to know about Genital Herpes
Also that the GP tells me that antibody blood test only can effectively test for HIV and Syhillis.

However, the majority of those who are carriers of the virus are asymptotic which means they have never had any symptoms whatsoever or have had an initial outbreak that was so mild that it wasn't even noticed. There is a good write up at Home page of the Herpes Viruses Association and Shingles Support Society

It's scary to think of such statistic, which means the next person you kiss could jolly well spread the virus to you.

If you have played the field, chances are you already have the virus. It's not that difficult to catch.

Re: All you need to know about Genital Herpes
Hi Big Sexy and Sammy,
Would like to ask something. I have looked through some of the resources online and it mostly say that it will take a few weeks for the sores to recover. However, is it possible for the sores to recover within 2 days as I have experience 2 sores on my penis that totally recovered within 2 days. Could my doctor have given me a wrong diagnosis? I feel like asking for a 2nd opinion, tho i think it is very likely that i caught the virus. |

Re: All you need to know about Genital Herpes
Hi Big Sexy Bro,
My bro is diagnosed with herpes recently and he got it from his gf. The gf claims that she doesn't know that she had the virus and had no symptoms and may had kanna it from the ex-bf, whereby they had broke up more than a year ago. Since she kanna the virus so long ago, and she had been with my bro for almost a year, could she be having flings with other men (I mean kanna the virus from other men) while with my bro at the same time? |

Re: All you need to know about Genital Herpes
Hi guys,
Just thought I would share my experience. I have recently started 'chionging' after being a well-behaved boy for most of my life. I have been going for about twice a week, for 3-4 weeks. That's about 8 times with a sex worker. After a few scares in the past, I had resolved to never get a bbbj when I have cuts on my dick. I always always wear a condom, and I also never do oral sex on the woman. Recently I had a 'anal lick job' - where the girl licked my anus, and she didn't ask me, she just did it... A week after that experience, I now have herpes symptoms. Awaiting the results to be confirmed. But looking at the pictures, reading about the other symptoms, I'm pretty sure I have it, and have started to accept it. It is a painful and sad experience to get this disease. Not the physical pain, which is quite small. But I feel that I have been robbed of my dreams and my life. Before this, I had ambitions to be great, to really succeed in my career, and find a beautiful wife and family. I thought about suicide, felt so bad. But now I am starting to realise that maybe things aren't so bad after all. There are plenty of people in the world who are worse off than me, such as those born with brittle bone disease. I will pick up the pieces. My one word of advice to you guys, is to stop risky activity if you have family, friends, and dreams, and other things are precious to you and which are in risk when you get this disease. If you fall in this category, stop going to hookers, or ONS with strangers. You can get herpes from kissing, from close sexual contact, and oral sex. You can get it even if the woman licks your scrotum or balls... don't make the mistake that I made. The risk of infecting your family, wife or gf is real, and the fear is intense. Herpes may be common in the US, but I doubt it is common in Singapore as we are still mostly conservative society. Throw away the porn or whatever makes your sex drive so high. Visit a counsellor, find a religion, I dunno how. Don't screw up like I did. Now I've resolved to change the way I live, but it is too late. I will still try to live my life for the people I love, which are my family and friends. Perhaps one day I will get married and have a family, but I don't feel self-confident enough to go for anyone now. Apparently there is only a 4% chance for a man to get it from a woman through an encounter, so I guess I was really unlucky. Also, I would appreciate if anyone can tell me of a herpes support group in Singapore. |
