The reason why it is quiet because it is almost hidden. I never like this hotel cause u need to take a lift to the lobby and the bar next to the reception is dead with max 2-3 guest at any one time. The gym upstairs is better in term of crowd.

I've been to this hotel so many times and only on Sat did I know about the Media bar and KTV. Reason was I was there at 6pm on Sat to meet a oversea guest and upon arrival. I notice that I forgot my wallet and thus took a walk around the hotel while waiting for a friend to bring me some money.

Then I chance upon this wonderful place. Totally dead as u need to go down a stair behind the bar . the waiter also said that there is no guest here besides the Indian and some occasional hotel bule. Only some regular Indian which use the place every night for gambling. U can see that the waiter there don't bother about u at all and I saw these Indian bringing in their own food and bottle of whisky.

As for the KTV, u need to go behind Media Bar and is hidden if u don't look properly. Bad feng shui maybe. Inside the International Yacht Club.. They have a very big and nice hall with live band. Totally deserted. As for the rooms, there should be about 15. gals wise is quite limited as the mummy said they will come only when there is guest. We waited half and hour before they arrive. We know the room was not booked as we wanted a room with Toilet and there is only one but booked for tripping. The mummy shown us many rooms and we are free to choose whichever we want. So I can confirm that no many ppl come here. The gal also said so.

As for price. room rates is Rup 50-100k per hour. Gal is min 7 hours and cost about Rup 180k. As my friend were busy gambling, so we only order beer and I didn't see the bill as it was paid by my friend.

Anyway, it wouldn't be long before we try this place again. Real fun....

Rajamas... ah!.. that was the first diskotik i went.
so dark.. so loud... so many girls...

didn't went to the KTV room until sometime later.
quite impressive though. classy interiors
and rooms are big!
alot China girls! and also gorgeous locals
I didn't stay long enough most of the time
was there just scouting
there's a lounge you can meet the girls
also..they extended their KTV rooms to downstairs (or up?)
accessible only by lifts.

The diskotik are not the best i've seen. Stadium is better
but KTV room are good.
Also available are the amustment centre, like all other
entertainment complex in Jakarta

Only been there once. As moonface said. Small disco hall. Nice room but a little outdated now. Best room I seen till today is FM1 at the Boutique hotel. slightly better then 1001. maybe it's new.

Back to Raja Mas. Was new here and speak no Bahasa so the mami got me and my friend 2 local Chinese lady. They were pretty and very good drinker. We drank 4 bottles of wine that night and I think the lady drank most of it.

Total bill if I were to recollect correctly was US 130 plus.

Thereafter this lady called me basically everyday to go there again which I never did till today.

Not a propular place amongst mine group of friends.

It is part of a section of this book "Making Out In Indonesian" by Peter Constantine which I bought from Kikokuniya, Singapore for $10.20. I found this book very useful as it teachs you the language as it is spoken on the street. Unlike the previous kamus (dictionary) which I bought but useless to me, unless I am plotting to bring down the Ibu Mega's Government.

eg. If you don't wear a condom, I won't do it. (Kalau lu nggak pakai kondom, gua nggak mau!)
