After what seems like a short break, I picked up some stuff, bought a can of cat food and proceed to pay for it, getting Xiao Ke as the cashier as well. And I added in the amount I was supposed to pay her for her service of course. Xiao Ke picked up the additional cash and smile at me.

“I was just joking, it is to make the experience more fun!” But I was already walking out because I realized how late I was so I simply replied her. “It’s ok, keep it and buy cat food for me for the little kitties!”

I cycled fast, this time straight back to the motel. No other distraction. It was only day 2 and I had failed to get food for Rachel twice in a row in a timely manner. When I unpacked everything, the priests started munching immediately. I can tell Rachel is not pleased, but she did not say anything. It was also fortunate that she did not ask why. I wouldn’t be able to tell her I had a blowjob at a convenient store, could I?

The afternoon then went quiet as it is, rainy and few guests came over. Mostly people who are working in business with my dear departed friend whom I do not know. But there was one who I did. She happened to be my ex-classmate. Cindy happened to also knew my friend through some circles and I wasn’t sure it was her then, but she recognized me instead. It had been a long time and I did I had not seen her after secondary school. It’s funny how we ended up meeting in a funeral in Taiwan. I wanted to catch up with Cindy, partially because it is really nice to meet someone familiar here in Taiwan, but also she had grown to be rather attractive now. I wondered how she was doing. But the funeral isn’t the time to ask and catch up and I supposed she noticed that too, so we just exchange contact and maybe we could catch up some days later.

As the rain get lighter, then heavier and then repeat itself over and over again, the chanting of scriptures had my thoughts running on its own. I wondered how are the girls doing up in the mountains. Then I wondered how is my girlfriend. I texted her and she seems to take forever to reply with all the usual. Busy with work and all, so I kind of give up.

As the sun set, the long boring afternoon finally came to an end and I was quite glad it is going to be the end of the long day finally. From the morning when Mr Lee visited, Rachel’s story about her capture, then to the mini mart meeting Xiao Ke. I think I had too much of an adventure already. I reached into my pocket and realized that I still have the little key the girls passed me. I wondered what it mean for. For dinner, Rachel had volunteer this time to ensure that we might have a timely dinner and so I had to stayed back in the motel. Maybe it’s time to find out what the little key actually opens…
