Rafa is a big fan of Eto. Tried to sign him at Valencia but Eto chose to go Barcelona. He has been tracking Eto ever since and now looks like good opportunity to lure him to Liverpool, and Rafa's the type of manager who looks for players to suit his tactical style. I'm sure he'll fit perfectly into the Liverpool setup.

so glad to be back in sg!!! great to see so many new (as least to me

)contributors to the liverpool thread.

eto'o might not be the best signing yet. judging from the last 2 games, we need a killer in the box, someone to convert those chances. as much as i hate him, i think ruud van nisterooy is the answer to the 20-goal a season man. can't really think of anyone else in the market. even drogba is suspect whether he can still deliver when he doesn't have that kind of form he is having now. eto'o and david villa in my humble opinion, are much too lightweight in the premiership. but then again, i might be wrong. fowler was never given a chance to succeed. torres, another target, is also not suitable and to spend so much $ just to piss man u off, just not worth it.

come to think of the recent news, it might be good to wait till the end of the season to see if mourinho goes. then can break the bank to pick up terry and drogba.

my choice signings:- van nisterooy, joaquin, terry and drogba if possible. make mascherano move permanent cos he can be really good.
