Not true bro. As long as spouse did not get caught previously in SG, unlikely they reject LTVP even if just marry one.

If they reject, go straight to ica n Fark them n demand an answer why LTVP was not approve. But u must be very sure spouse didnt kana caught before or got bad records with ica before..

bro, thk u for farkin ica, they really deserved it for making lives diff for foreign spouse, when i was visitin in laws in phil, jus show marriage cert n they chop me 1 yr.. so u see, sg ica really loves paperwork so much...

I told them I marry in SG.. If my wife LTVP reject.. Then m I suppose to divorce her?

My friend is worst. Wife give birth to a baby, n her LTVP was rejected. My friend Fark the ica office also. Say who will take care of the baby? Govt or ica? Baby Singaporean n mother even LTVP also reject.

It's damm stupid one. Then they say technical errors n say will reprocess again.

Always same stupid reason which is technical error.

This was what I did previously.

Be careful when you fark them at ICA..... there have been cases where angry applicants have been arrested there for abusing the ICA officers. Although you no touch them but even using harsh words against them on duty is deemed as "Using abusive language or intimidating behavior against a public official"..... if kenna arrested then 100% can say goodbye to your application.

Real case incident..... my Godma's daughter-in-law kenna put on blacklist for 20 years!! Forever no need to apply for LTVP

nobody can just keep quiet to let another person abuse...that include a public servant...so please be nice and speak politely...you asking help from MP and if MP reject because request is unreasonable...dare you to scold the MP who may be a Minister...

bro, the new ltvp+ policy is have sporean baby.. most probably as they say process error.

Hi all,

Seems like you guys know your stuffs so some questions to seek all your professional advice. Keep story short

Married 2 month (In taiwan), Kid 1 year old (taiwanese citizen)

Wife, 23, Taiwanese, Canadian PR, Studied nursing in Canada + work as a nurse in Canada for a short time before going back to taiwan. Nvr work in SGP or criminal records anywhere.

Me, 33, Just changed jobs recently (less than 3 months) but annual pay above 100k for the past few years and is a stable salaried employee. No criminal record before but was previously married but of coz divorced properly.

Question : What are the chances for LTVP+ or SPR? I am banking if both fails then LTVP should be ok? If still cannot then get her here on a student pass but baby on what pass?

Haha..of cos i didnt use vulgarities or abusively words when i talk to them.

I simply let them know my anger n make them look silly n dumbfold with my questions.

Should get approved within one application...wife - first LTVP, then within 2 years later PR then maybe 2 years later Citizen...

kid - singapore citizen by application...have to give up taiwan citizen when he/she turns 21 yrs old if he/she decides to be Singapore Citizen...son has to serve NS by 18 years old...

all bease on info provided below and if certified true...

Thanks Hurricane...Above info certified true for sure..haha. PR would be great but i am not sure she wants to give up her taiwanese and canadian citizenship (In the process). your son will be singapore citizen by application even as a baby...dun need LTVP/PR the fact that you are Singaporean father...hope you clear...son can have dual citizenship till he does NS and have to forgo the rest if he wants to be Singaporean...

just need to go ICA and sort out all these papers...your case is clear cut...just go and get your citizen rights, priorities, and grants...

Thanks for the info.

I was then still gong gong and waited (about 1 yr) for my wife's pr then.

Should have just done raw at start n get kid earlier.

Dun assume that just because the father is Singaporean the boy will automatically be a Singaporean. If the boy is born outside the country.... he MUST be registered within a certain timeframe with the Singapore Embassy / High Commission or Mission Office to be eligible for Singaporean citizenship..... even then his status is "Citizenship by descent" (born outside SG) which is different from "Citizenship by birth" (born in SG)..... the foreign born boy must take an oath when he reaches 21 whereas a local born boy does not need to do anything.

Spoke personally to an HDB officer recently and was told that if you are a citizen and wife just got PR, you do not need to wait for 3 years to apply to purchase flat because you yourself is a citizen. The new rule applies to people who are non-citizens on other types of passes before getting PR
