If you guy are thinking of visiting Viet-China border towns, you are a bit late. These places used to be good because like CP, the local government "tax" them & allow them to operate. There have been a lot of crack down lately, and 80% or more of the girls has gone home.

I can't say for sure about other place. However, I have just been to the most popular one, Hekou, last month. There are still some actions. However, due to police crack down, a whole bunch of brothels has closed & more than 80% of the girls gone home. The picking is not as good as before. Not sure how it will turn out in the long run, but for now, that is how it is.

It is a small place control and managed by the Myanmar troop which is independent from the central Myanmar government.

If going Mongla (border of China and Myanmar) from Thailand side, maesai. You need a tour guide which is $1000 baht per day if u do not have a VISA. And have to inform the immigration that you are going Mongla so he will give u a stamp which allow you to go till Mongla. Your passport will keep by the immigration and replace by a card. The tour guide will settle everything for you since u are paying him.

To Mongla; better take bus fm Tachilek to Kengtung. Enjoy Kengtung mkt there, Look for Chinese speaking motorcycle guide. My fat guide ride me there halfway slowly... and I have to take over all the way back to KT.
Nothing much in ML. Typical gambling Chinese city look.

The hotel i stayed in Mongla have a suana and a ktv below. Inside the room still have a menu on the services on what the girls can do. Too bad with OC around cannot go explore

i know of an american guy who has been doing visa runs thru the myanmar-china border, he is working illegally in china on tourist visa,every 2 months
he cross the border to renew his visa and to monger there

Wow , very interesting find. Thanks to TS for finding such a good lobang and sharing it here. But than again , it seems quite inaccessible. But this type of things got time must go try... life time exp

bro i thought the border is closed, only the chinese can cross over
