Tis is what i found in d small booklet UOB sent me wif my Debit card...

"You can use your new UOB VISA Debit Card as an ATM card throughout
Singapore's huge shared ATM network.It also works in over 800,000

withdrawals is $5 per transaction.However,we will absorb this charge for your
first three international withdrawals made each month."

Wif tis statement,i tink it applies 2 all d Debit card..
Whether its VISA R Gold Card,VISA R Classic Card or VISA Electron,UOB will
still absorb d 1st 3 international withdrawals u make each month..

i have clarified with the UOB staff, they said ONLY 1 Debit card has this free first 3 international withdrawals free feature. The R Gold Card..

To enjoy better exchange rates, send your $$ over either in S$ or USD$ coz all these currency enjoy better rates over there.

All the remittance shops charges $10 or $12 except for Western Union which charge more for its express service.....for $12 you get a slightly better rate.....usually its THB10 more for every SGD100. Cut-off time on weekdays is b4 noon. That means if tt b4 noon, the Thai side will get the money 3-4pm same day dependant on public holidays in both countries.
