was in phuket for 5 days. the only interesting place we went to was in dibuk road. it has a thai name that literally translate as "pearljit". it like a bistro pub and the best thing is the action starts early. by 9pm the place was packed with all the local hotties. some fls but most were out for a good time. the place sells lots of decent wines. sit outside and watch the happenings go in and out. hope you guys check it out, corner of thanon dibut and yaowarat.

I forgot I guess I should have some details about my first night out last night. Started late as we drove from Bangkok and got in as the sun went down. After dinner at Savoey (pricey and very mediocre Thai food) we headed down Bangla and checked out a few of the beer bars. Mostly European and American guys. Tried to ask a dancing girl how much for short time and she says she doesn't go out with customers. Then she said she had to work at 4am. Um ok. I'm not the most handsome guy. Chubby chinese looking guy but I don't think I'm butt ugly. Oh well. Next headed to another soi (sorry didn't know the names last night but learning so next report should be more detailed.)

Girls just didn't look that great....dancing in summer dress outfits. Had a beer and left. Again...my aussie friend got most of the attention. Finally dropped by Roxy. Not too many hot girls in there. 2-3 on stage were good dancers but they all just stared at the mirror/window and didn't pay too much attention. Was empty so after 4 drinks (buy one get one free coupon from guy outside) we left.

Friend went to beer bars in Kata while I went home to crash. He called saying it was very rough and dirty with horrible bathrooms but a few cute girls. Beer bars are just not my thing though.

Any recommendations? Anyone want to meet? I'll buy you a beer!

Great Video! I was there last Aug for a week and a lot of places look familiar.
Maybe they could also do the same for the nightlife in Bangkok and Pattaya.

June/July's summer vacation in europe, so it's low season likes of phuket and pattaya na. So hotel pricing phuket discounted. High season kicks in start nov.

Low season is the best time to go there for mongering. Hotel rates are low. ST and LT rates also low and of course lesser competition from the ang mohs.

Will be in Phuket from 25th August to 31st August (although I might be flying back early on the 28th or 29th if something crops up). Will be in Phuket town from 25th - 28th and still open to either Phuket Town or Patong for the last 3 nights.. any bros wanna chiong together PM me!

there's a new law introduced last month, even pillion rider suppose to wear helmet. i wonder how they going to enforce? take a motorbike taxi in town and wear a shower cap? helmet so many people use.

Its better to be Safe than sorry. I always insist on wearing the helmet when i take a motorbike taxi whether in LOS or other places. Besides the insurance might not cover you.
