I went to the saunas in Germany and they are mix gender and textile-free which means you must be naked. Went with my wife last year and doing that again this year. Europeans are actually quite open about this and you can find it in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Netherlands.

You can try the spa town, Baden Baden, and there’s Caracalla spa and Friedsrichbad. Friedsrichbad is an old style Roman bath and initially they give you a sheet to cover yourself but there’s some areas where you are not allowed to bring in the sheet so you have to talk around naked. There’s pools and steam bath there which is quite interesting. You can see all ages, shapes and sizes there.

I’m going to try Therme Erding with my wife in October and this is the largest sauna in the world where you have like 20 over saunas and a few pools to dip in all naked.

So it’s easy to convince the wife as this is just a small part of the itinerary and since it’s in Germany, you are unlikely to meet anyone you know there.

Never been to resorts but i have been to clothing optional beaches in Oz. Its a very liberated feeling.

You will find that other guests are generally friendly and most people will socialize and make friends. Its all very chill and non-threatening

Went to barefeet resort in bkk early this month. It was my 1st time going to a naturist resort. I won't consider it as a resort. It's something like 2 terrence house connected. Small place for a resort, limited rooms = limited ppl, limited activities. It's a great place for beginners or 1st timers. Location is great, can stay there for a night or 2 before moving to downtown bkk.
