Hundreds of people set to flock to South Africa's first official nudist beach... and group who campaigned for it hope tourists visit from all over the world

South Africa's first official nudist tourist beach will open this weekend with hundreds of people set to bare all at the idyllic spot.
KwaZulu-Natal’s secluded Mpenjati beach was given the go-ahead by local councillors to be officially recognised as the country's first of its kind back in November last year.
But a series of objections from concerned locals saw the official opening delayed until now.

'We are here legally; there is a lot of emotion around this - people don't understand that naturists want to be one with nature, there is nothing sexual about this,' he told Times Live.
A scheduled opening on April 5 on the Easter weekend did not run too smoothly when the Concerned Citizens Group contacted the local police and called for nudists on the beach to be arrested.
Despite the beach being declared official for nudists, some locals remain against the idea
However the Hibiscus Coast Municipality stepped in when Margate police were called, and the nudists managed to enjoy some time on the sand and in the surf.
Now that the by-laws for the recognition have been passed, Sanna hope that nudists will be able to enjoy the beach without hassle.
'It's been a long road to freedom, but we are very happy, we are ecstatic actually,' Pavlovic said in an interview with TheSouthAfrican.com.
'We are the only naturist beach in the world with a code of conduct, so we are very proud. It's an absolutely fantastic beach and we are looking forward to promote and bring naturists all over the world to this wonderful part of the world.'
The beach has its own code of conduct, of which all people are expected to follow.
