Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Sense some resentment in your words. Understand how you feel but what to do? We sold Alonso, Mascherano, Torres. Gerrard injured for quite some time last season, as with Carroll. Suarez is great but played half a season only. Actually I was hoping Kuyt will be our player of the season.
Hope we get Downing. |

but reading from internet, he does not get me overly excited... moreover, he is a bit injury prone as well... hope he proves me wrong, and i will be too glad to eat my word...

He has been one of our best players for many seasons.Even played out of position also he runs like a horse and scores goals as well. Unlike one 'headless Chicken' running endlessly on the pitch! At one time i thought FIFA has came out with new ruling by deploying two referres!

kuyt is one of our most consistant and best player over the past few years...and he has also scored some important goals in big matches... beside his famous "energizer" stamina, i think he is also underrated on his positioning (that gets him into position to score tap-in and rebounds), his awareness and his reading of the game... admit tat he's not as fast nor good in dribbling as some of the wide midfielder around, but he is definitely one of our best...

Sylvain Marveaux
The former France Under-21 international appeared set to sign for Liverpool on a free transfer from Rennes to put a couple of disappointing seasons, marred by injuries, behind him, but the move collapsed on Friday. Reports in France suggested the transfer did not go ahead as Marveaux could not pass a medical at Liverpool, but the midfielder has now declared that was not the source of the problem. "I do not want to go into details, but if I have not signed for Liverpool, it was because there was a contractual disagreement between the involved parties, Thursday evening," he told L'Equipe. well... i'm not overly disappointed over missing out on him... btw, he'd signed for Newcastle instead...

I am also not too impressed by him.

Looks like we're gonna lose Dann to Stoke and Glicy to Roma too. The Soccer Daily Transfer Talks 18th June 2011 Birmingham defender Scott Dann is in talks with the Potters after learning he will be the 4th choice behind Carragher, Skrtel and Agger. He has no intention of coming to Anfield to warm the bench and prefers a move to Stoke City where he can be certain of regular playing time. Arsenal fullback Gael Glichy looks set to move to the Serie A after Liverpool FC declined to match Roma's $8 million bid for the player. LFC spokesman Comolli told the media that the value of the player is $5 million and with his contract running out in a matter of months Arsenal should not be greedy and overvalue the player. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
i know it's only Jun but i m starting 2 worry tat we can only attract the young potential type of players but not the established players that can make an immediate impact which is what we need most............

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
I think we have a good enough squad but only need to have good results...if the squad can beat MU, Chelsea and MC then we just need to be consistent and self belief. Adding new young players with good potential will be helpful with self renewals.

Hope we don't sell Meireles. He's a good player. The price quoted at $13.5 million pounds is really low for such a player.
