Marginal diff for Double Black. Kinda smoky diff from BL. For budget scotch with 'soft' flavour is J&B.

By the X no. of scotches down the hatch, and watered down -the boozy drinker might not even know it's RL!

Yes, some guesthouses avail free (or nominal charge) for bicycles. Come new year stretch, it's super duper high season with domestic tourists too - most hotels were fully booked and upped prices since 2-3 weeks back

New Central Festival is way bigger and fancy than airport mall

Nope, for FJ you can get it at 1k฿ but again one man's meat one man's som tam. Either the girl is late 20s to early 30s with good service or early 20s with SOP service. Choice is yours. Sayuri has a lot of white skin girls.

KTVs I think bro BD posted one article stating that KTVs at here can no longer overcharge its foreign customers. So just prepare about 3k฿ if you going alone, including whiskey you purchase at the 7. Should be sufficient to enjoy roughly about 3 hrs or non stop action. cheaper than G club in Bkk right.

Discos along niman just like discos at Bkk, if you got guts and luck, maybe you can get. To get girl in discos in TH I notice after so long chiong discos in TH is to have guts. 90% guts 10% luck= success.

bro, I feel slightly motivated to visit Chiang Mai not in 2014 but 2015 after hearing you say "Sayuri has a lot of white skin girls".

I have checked Google Street View starting from Loi Khro to Sayuri by walking. Will take approximately 30 to 45 min.

Just asking can book the Sayuri gals for overnight (LT) and how much will it normally cost? Just ask direct to the gals and no need go through OKT rite?

For the karaoke or the clubbing thing is better invite bro Happyman007 to join if he is free during that time. Is much better can meet up with SBF bros there for guidance and advice as kena chop by the locals is not the option to take especially for my first time newbie travel to Chiang Mai.

However, since he is married I doubt he can go out clubbing or chiong again especially at night time. If got baby oredi lagi susah. For Nimman discos will stay nearby there instead of city center. My biggest problem is I am on the shy side and do not have the guts like you mentioned. This will need bro Happyman007 to guide me through in my future visit.

For 2014 will visit Hatyai and see how it goes from there.

Re: 2014 Thailand Public Holidays

was in CNX last week, thanks to bro agate who brought me around.

went to Sayuri around 10pm, the girls were tired and looks soso, wouldn't recommend based what I've seen. the quality of girls at Celeb were comparatively better.

the girls at Spotlight was soso but one of the waitresses was pretty though, not sure can bar fine or not, never try. girls at Foxy Lady was the best, there were a few hot ones, but the price i got for ST was 2600 (2000 for lady, 600 bar fine). was told it was a fixed price both times I went.

Chiang Mai is a nice, relaxing place with a cool weather, would definitely consider coming back someday.

Re: Infos on Chiang Mai

Hi guys, I'm thinking of making some day trips while at CNX, probably Pai or Golden triangle. Can Pai be covered within a span of a day? Or is there a recommended time frame to stay there, just so a traveller can have a more complete Pai experience?

How about Chiang Rai and Golden triangle?

As I've prebooked my hotel at CNX, I would need to make some adjustments if need be.

Thanks again.

Chiangrai is approx 3hrs (car) from CNX, with some winding roads enroute. I took a relaxed drive few months back, and even went up to Maesai. If by bus, probably more than 4-5hrs (never tried)? So perhaps overnighter is good. Day tripper possible, but what do you want to get out of it with commute?

Been meaning to do Pai. Think it's way further, with more torturous snaky roads. There's a local flight from CNX (one of those smallish propeller planes). Think IMO did road up and succumbed to flight back (see his post awhile back)

Chiobu waitress (if she's same 1 saw 2 months back), no can do. I straight asked the old mamasan (familiar with her), with straighter negative answer Oh well, I'm no Tom Cruise ...so maybe you or someone else may strike lucky

Pai is not recommended if you are looking for local favour or culture as it has been commercialized and mostly farangs there now. It has become somewhat like the Phuket of the North where every 3 out of 4 people you meet is a tourist.
It is better to go Maesai or Chiangrai or one of the other smaller towns located along the border.

Thanks for the info. I think i will book a day tour that takes me to the golden triangle. I believe there will be some other misc places of interest that will be included in the itinerary.

Often, I come across posting about "Riverside"

I was just wondering if Riverside refers to the Ping River?

If not, is this a specific landmark or the name of a building?

For Golden Triangle day tour, found a link that seem ok
http://www.travelhubchiangmai.com/bu...ng%20Neck.html

Riverside is a pub and restaurant, quite popular with tourist especially with angmo, while the local thai prefer the neighbour "Good View" restaurant....both are just across the Nawarat bridge if you come from night market area, after cross the bridge turn left along the ping river u can't miss them.
