There is one bus going to Jomtien beach about 96baht, the North Pattaya one (every 30min or so) about 130 baht.

On the bright side, at least you got there.

If going direct from airport I will use Bell travel booking thru their website @ 200 bahts fare and time my arrival to meet their departure times.
From town I will rather use Pattaya Van at the BTS Victory Monument @ 97 bahts and both take about 1-1/2 hours.

Just a friendly remark, UOB got the best rate for exchanging. I got SGD1=23.08baht from Bangkok Bank then later found out UOB offer SGD1=23.19baht. Loss 200baht instantly cause I change 2K.

Manage to locate a small hotel named Encore Hotel with rate @ 400baht per night. It has a bar on level 1 with a very friendly receptionist named Joy. 1) If I'm not wrong Fashion Club next to Soi 6. Coming from Soi 6 on 2nd Road u pass a 7-11 on your left at the corner. Turn into this sub-soi and u can't miss it. Google it to double confirm.
