JB hotels beef up security after spate of robberies Hotels in Johor Bahru City here have beefed up security after robbers hit several budget hotels over the last 10 days. In the latest incident on Monday, three robbers armed with daggers barged into a hotel in Stulang Laut at 5.25am and held up a security guard and a receptionist. Malaysian Association of Hotels, Johor chapter chairman John Roozemond said hoteliers were concerned about the spate of robberies. "This is bad for tourism.
