Hi bro - tat i'm not sure .. but this happened to me and in a private hospital too. Anyway, the surgeon did a good job and left only a small scar on the right side -- far away from the pubic area.. The " ordeal " i was subjected to was really unnecesary.

Din know tis thread existed....quite surprising tat such practices still exist to tis day...tot it was in the past tat it was SOP for every recruit esp the guys who want to take up a public sector job to hv to strip for such checks b4 they r confirmed in their jobs...not too sure nowadays but still tink most small private companies dun need, though the bigger MNCs n govt jobs may still require such examination...

But for guys, really dun see the need for doctors to do tat during a pre-employment medical check-up...as all the male organs are external, if there r any problems at all wif their sex organs e.g hernia which believe is wat the doctors r checking for, they would be the 1st to know n hv gone to see their own doctors for treatment....so dun really see wats the purpose of a genital check for adult guys during such mandatory medical examination for simple clerical jobs unless the job requires one to be STD free like jobs in those healthcare industry where genital checks shd be conducted on them, e.g. docs, nurses etc...even then quite a number of STDs eg. herpes cannot be detected visually but only thru blood tests...
