Need to state my reason for asking these questions. Previously I assumed the entire hourly charge goes into the boss' pocket and I was willing to pay more than the minimun quoted by the gal. However, if the masseur gets half or more, then I'll exercise more prudence in the future when paying.

from wat i noe, if u go to places that charges u 20 for 1/2hr n 30 for 1hr, the gal will get nothing for 1/2hr n 10 for 1hr. in other words the boss will die die collect 20 each session be it 1/2 or 1hr.
as for places that hv 45min, 1hr n 1.5hr packages, the gals will get 5,7 n 12 respectively +- few $ depend on wat the charges r. no doubt in this case they do get a bit, but maybe just enuff to cover lunch/dinner la.....

i know g gals get very little for their hourly fee but im not so sure if d gal gets nothing at all for 1/2 hr. perhaps diff shop varies in their 'pay structure'. but that's wat i call EXPLOITATION by d shop owner. muz y d owners dun register themselves as TN shop but as a HOTEL OPERATOR, which merely rent d rooms to d gals. knn ... imagine shop has 3 gals ... each gal brings in 5 customers a day on avg at $20/0.5 hr .. d owner would have more than covered his monthly rental that way!

thanks for the valuable info. I think Jiele could have the same structure of the division of hourly charge. 1hr=$28 and 45min=$25 instead of $21, proportionally speaking.

Depending on the the duration & quality of the service, I roughly know how much to give (& not to give) the masseur should I visit Jiele again. A masseur who renders a lousy massage to a patron should not expect to receive good tipping, if at all.
