We must stay strong for our team. Let's keep the blue flag flying high.

This blip is temporary, we will get a succesor for Jose eventually. If you all did not anticipate Jose leaving, i will call you guys naive. The writing was on the wall. Everybody is sad that he left...but the club must move on.

All these conspiracy theories about our beloved Captain...John Terry being a "turn-coat" ~ you all actually believe this?

And Roman not caring for our club...if he was not interested, he would have long left. It's absurd some of you all rely on crap tabloids for your source of information.

Bro, we're all feeling despondent. For anyone football fan (die-hard, loyal, just started, ardent, etc) to go through ordeal, some of us here will be disillusioned.

I'm sure deep down inside, rumours aside, it affects us our hearts, emotionally despite the fact in the very first place its nothing but tabloids, rumours, scandals.

Yes still it does raise some doubts, talking points, thoughts. There've been all kinds of issues in the Footballing World, not only in CFC. Football programmes like Football Focus and even Chelsea TV, do to a certain angle; addressed those issues/ rumours.

Yes, we can trashed those trashy rumours aside. Still like it or not, we're sad. Like it or not, it doesn't change the fact that Chelsea are tough times. Like it or not, there won't be another manager like Mourinho, for he has achieved unparallel success. Get another manager and achieve what Mourinho has done? No way, period! That's why our hearts are so fucking painful.

Bro JWNY, I'm sure u do feel painful too. I want to be as rational as you but I guess couldn't. I'm depressed; devastated. Yes, You, Me, All Chelsea Fans Are. I Love You, Chelsea. That's why it hurts moi so much, so much...... to Chelsea in this predicament.

Stick 'em thru' thick and thin, be it goods times or bad times, YES I WILL.

Blue is in my blood, but right now I'm feeling blue for Chelsea.

Cheers, Bro JWNY.

Hi Bro, know you feel twisted inside feel especially with the recent theories abt Terry screwing Jose, Arnesen as mastermind sowing seeds of discontent between Jose and Roman, players Tu Lan over Terry, etc...

As mentioned before, Roman's goal (and this would have been effectively communicated to Phil Kenyon, Jose and the rest of the management staff) is to make Chelsea the # 1 club in the UK and one of the top clubs in the world - this means top notch in support (playing to capacity crowds every week, regardless of going against Huddersfield or Real Madrid), tons of revenue (whether during match days or through sales of club merchandise or from tours, etc.) and playing fast flowing, attractive football that have spectators gripping to the edge of their seats. So Roman initially pumped lots of investment funds into Chelsea buying best in class players and top manager (which in an ideal world would translate into winning every major football and become the standard bearer title in the football community). We know Chelsea's successes already...but now they must play to full crowds and be self-financing. At this stage Roman may not yet pull the plug but how long can he continue to finance this costly team and play to meagre crowds.

Of course, the club is bigger than any player or manager and they must move on. In the long run, Chelsea may find a more successful mgr than JM but Grant is not the ideal replacement. Looking at last night's game, noticed Terry's body language? Did not display the leader and task master, whipping and exhorting his players to try harder...we will definitely hear more stories from Stamford Bridge in the days to come. But if Roman cuts the financing cord, that's it..

Re: Chelsea FC - Supporters' Rally

one of Jose Mourinho's quote on Chelsea...

“There are only two ways for me to leave Chelsea. One way is in June 2010 when I finish my contract and if the club doesn’t give me a new one.
It is the end of my contract and I am out. The second way is for Chelsea to sack me. The way of the manager leaving the club by deciding to walk away, no chance! I will never do this to Chelsea supporters.” - when asked if success in the Carling Cup final might mean the last trophy he would win for Chelsea."

omg, mostly likely he was sacked?

Re: Chelsea FC - Supporters' Rally

Different people support different clubs for various reasons. For me, Jose Mourinho's was the reason.

As yet, we do not have access to the truth via the horse's mouth. We could only choose between:

(1) the tabloid
(2) official Chelsea website

If Mourinho's leaving the Chelsea the writings were on the wall, then surely the writings didn't come from official Chelsea website. The official Chelsea site repeatedly emphasized that the rumours about any unrest between Mourinho and Abramovich were untrue and that Mourinho's job was secured etc. Peter Kenyon effectively quashed all rumours about Mourinho leaving Chelsea.

If we believe the writings were on the wall that Mourinho would leave, the writings came from the tabloids.

Now if John CB Terry is not the CB that the Observer says he is, he should clarify. I was told John CB Terry wanted the tabloid to withdraw the allegations, if not he would sue.

Let's see what John CB Terry has got to say. If he insists on his silence, then the answer is clear.

Bro JWNY,

Whether we believe JT is a turncoat or not doesn't matter. The fact is you could see the lack of spirit on the players' faces. And you could clearly see that JT was not in position for the set piece, leaving Tevez unmarked.

We all knew that JM would leave eventually. No doubt about that, nothing is forever. But the way in which he left and the replacement they got -- well, we'll see.

We must question our club and its leadership.

If we don't, we can't be true fans. Only sheep follow blindly.

It is because we love the club so much that we ask how we can make it better.

You look at Roman -- I actually believe the story about Sheva and Essien because that's what I would want to do in his place as a fan. I really do think he's a true fan. But there's a reason why fans don't manage.

If we're wrong and Avram Grant is the next Arsene Wenger, then I will be incredibly happy. But we can't just shut up our emotions over the sacking of the best manager in our history and the best manager ever to manage in the Premiership.

Crowd 75,663.

Environment Mild, patchy cloud at start, drizzle by half-time. 4pm kick-off, live on Sky Sports.

Kit Man United - red shirts, white shorts and black socks. Chelsea - blue shirts and shorts, white socks.

First-half.

Kick-off Man United

1 Save Cech pulls off a magnificent finger-tip save to keep out Rooney's top corner bound curler. Essien and Ben-Haim had contrived to lose possession.

8 Attacks A period of good Chelsea pressure ends with Shevchenko shooting over from a tight angle. A few seconds earlier, Essien had stabbed over a fine cross just out of the Ukrainian's reach.

16 Tackle Joe Cole, having tracked his direct opponent's break, makes a sliding tackle as Evra enters the box. Man United appeal, the referee waves play on. Contact had been made with the ball first.

28 Save Cech drops to beat away a Tevez effort after a quickly-taken free-kick.

29 Escape Giggs scoops a good chance over at the far-post after Essien had gifted Rooney a crossing chance.

31 Sent-off Mikel is given a straight red after what looks a regulation block tackle on Evra. It's the Nigerian's third dismissal for Chelsea. To compensate, the shape becomes 4-4-1 with Shevchenko alone up front.

38 Save Cech with another quality piece of handling pouches Evra's header from a Giggs free-kick.

45+2 MAN UNITED GOAL Right on the stroke of half-time, Tevez dives in at the near post to head Giggs's cross past the advancing Cech.

Stoppage time 2 mins.

78 Man United substitution Saha for Tevez.

79 Abused Kalou is fouled by Brown who is booked.

82 Booked Terry for a foul on Rooney.

88 Penalty Saha wins a spot-kick with a blatant dive as he takes on Ben-Haim.

88 MAN UNITED GOAL Saha drives the kick straight down the middle with Cech diving right.

Stoppage time 3 mins.

Unused subs Man United: Kuszczak, Pique, O'Shea, Anderson. Chelsea: Cudicini, Alex.

Shots on target Man United 8 Chelsea 1

Corners Man United 10 Chelsea 1

Fouls Man United 18 Chelsea 10

Offsides Man United 0 Chelsea 0

Comment: Avram Grant's first team selection sees him opt for the 4-3-3 so often favoured by his predecessor, in this case with Joe Cole on the right of Shevchenko and Malouda on the left.

Two players are recalled to the defence, Ferreira and Ben-Haim and with Mikel back in midfield, the Nigerian makes his 50th Chelsea appearance. He does not complete the game after earning his third red card since coming to the club. It will be appealed.

The Blues hold our own early on but find it increasingly difficult to make it out of our half as the first-half progresses. The highly controversial sending-off of course makes the task no easier and just one corner and one half-hit shot on target over the course of the game shows how difficult it is to make an impact on the home side's defence.

The opening goal coming beyond the advertised two minutes stoppage time and a suspect penalty add to a sense of injustice but it is a third league game without a win and we drop down to sixth.

Re: Chelsea FC - Supporters' Rally

MATCH REPORT: MANCHESTER UNITED 2 CHELSEA 0

Chelsea went down to a strong Manchester United team at Old Trafford this afternoon, leaving the side three league games without a win.

The Blues battled away but were always on the back foot against a United team that had the fortune of key decisions going their way, notably the choice by Mike Dean to send John Mikel Obi off after half an hour, and then award United a penalty in the closing stages.

The game started as it would go on, with the home team on top while Chelsea struggled, missing key players, to come to terms with their opponents, who provided a constant threat.

Within two minutes Petr Cech had shown the very best of himself, stretching and full length, and some, to divert Wayne Rooney's goalbound curling effort around the post, after Ben-Haim had slipped to allow the England man an opening.

Seconds later it was Michael Carrick's chance to make sure the goalkeeper was alert, flicking Rooney's cross on, but in typical fashion Cech was able to hold on comfortably.

It took eight minutes for Chelsea to register our first meaningful effort of Avram Grant's tenure, as Andriy Shevchenko turned inside on to his right foot, but fired narrowly wide of Edwin Van Der Sar's net.

There was then a prolonged period of United pressure, as Rooney buzzed around menacingly and Ronaldo showed glimpses of the form that earned him two player of the year awards last season.

It was another United forward who tested Cech next though, as Tevez fizzed a show low after a quickly taken free kick. The goalkeeper did well to hold it.

Cech would have had little chance with the next shot though. After a poor clearance from Michael Essien, Rooney crossed to Giggs, in space at the far post, but the United captain could only volley over from a tight angle.

Shortly after, with just over half an hour played, disaster struck as Mikel and Evra contended a 50-50, with the Nigerian cleanly winning the ball.

Referee Mike Dean saw something altogether different, and without hesitation, produced a red card for Mikel, who was visibly both puzzled and distraught. There had been little appeal from United's players.

With a man advantage, the home side were able to pile more pressure on to a so far sturdy Blues backline, and from Giggs' free kick, Vidic headed towards goal. United supporters rose to their feet as they anticipated a second goal in as many Premier League games for the Serbian, but Cech was more than equal to it, and falling to his left, held on to the ball.

United's better share of the play, and fortune, eventually paid off in the third minute of first half injury time. The fourth official had only indicated there would be two, but when Giggs' corner eventually came back to him, he deftly crossed with the outside of his left foot, and Tevez was on hand to convert a diving header at Cech's near post.

It was the worst possible timing, and so it was that the quiet Old Trafford crowd was lifted to create a cacophonous noise as the players departed down the tunnel for the break.

The second half began in a similar fashion, with United having more of the ball, and Chelsea trying to win it back, often looking bereft of ideas, particularly going forward.

Giggs had a second opportunity, only slightly different from his earlier one, but the result was the same as he blasted over Cech's bar when he had both the time and space to pick his spot.

To freshen things up, Grant replaced Shevchenko with Kalou, and then Malouda with Wright-Phillips as we operated a flat 4-4-1, but there still appeared little sign of a breakthrough.

After 74 minutes Ashley Cole reached the byline for the first time, pulling back for Wright-Phillips to tee up for Essien, but the Ghanaian's half volley was a yard over. It did though show we weren't buried yet, and Grant subsequently gave his last throw of the dice, bringing on Pizarro for Joe Cole, who had just been booked for a lunge on Ronaldo.

Frustrations had started to show, and Terry was the second Blue to see yellow, diving in on Rooney 30 yards out.

Ronaldo, by now in full flow, struck a powerful shot that bounced wickedly in front of Cech. The Czech number one did well to hold on.

For the last ten minutes the tide had begun to turn, as Chelsea started to turn hard work into territorial gain, but that slice of luck and composure for the final ball was elusive.

To add salt to the wound, Uniteds were awarded a penalty two minutes from time when Saha tumbled under a challenge from Ben-Haim. Again, without hesitation Dean pointed to the spot, despite replays showing minimal contact.

The Frenchman tucked away the penalty, straight down the middle as Cech dived to his left.

A spirited Blues display, in the hardest of circumstances, had produced no luck and no points, leaving new manager Grant plenty to think about ahead of Wednesday's trip to Hull.

Man United (4-4-2): Van Der Sar; Brown, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra; Ronaldo, Carrick, Scholes, Giggs (c); Rooney; Tevez (Saha 78).

Goals: Tevez 45+2, Saha (pen) 88
Booked: Rooney, Brown

Chelsea (4-3-3): Cech; Ferreira, Ben-Haim, Terry (c), A Cole; Essien, Makelele, Essien, Mikel; J Cole (Pizarro 75), Shevchenko (Kalou 59), Malouda (Wright-Phillips 68).

Goals:
Booked: J Cole, Terry
Sent Off: Mikel
