if OKT gives option to use wechat, you can change settings to hide your phone number.

to play safe only install the app to do booking... and delete afterwards....you can always install again

but this is of course assuming you are not using wechat for work purposes...

better than having extra physical phone and sim card.

Turning off the phone is not enough. Take out the battary. Many ppl do not know how to use the banga prepaid SIM correctly. Do not turn on your prepaid SIM card phone and original number phone together. From the base station record, they can tell both numbers belong to the same person.

Also, don't turn it on in your office or house. They can tell from the location.

Use a web app virtual phone number which will mask your phone and all you need is a internet connection and you can have a US number
