Exchange rate in Cebu today 31.5 but I sure AC can give better. But still too low for semi resident like me. Weather is generally dry at 30C.

JAPANESE ARRESTED - VIOLENCE AGAINST STREETKIDS

About 2 hours ago a Japanese male got
arrested for smacking a street-kid and
kicking the kid in front of Royal Amsterdam
on Fields. He got mad at the boy because
the kid threw a mango at him, the piece of
mango trash hit the Japanese guys head.
Took 30 minutes for Police Station 4 to
show up, they took him to the station and
booked him for violence against children.
The Japanese guy was walking with a friend
at the time, so he has someone in his
corner.
Some security guards were advising him to
just leave before the cops showed up,
nobody was keeping him there. Guess he
felt he was a victim and wanted to press
charges against the kid. Boy was maybe 10
years old.

ABOVE IS A COPY FROM ANOTHER BOARD.

I rush to post this incident to our brothers cos its urgent and may affect them when they in AC.

Beggars are everywhere in fields and the advise is not to give. Cos once you give, you will be targeted by all others. I can side step them or tell them off. But when you have a pebble thrown at you to cause you to retaliate, then you are in trouble.

All were brought to the police station. Jap guy paid 60000p to settle the matter.

Remember that here in the PI they have a law that is side with their own citizens. In any altercation between a local and a foreigner.... the foreigner IS always in the wrong even if the local is the one that initiated the attack. Its a damn fuckup law.

So remember NEVER NEVER ever lay hands on a Filipino.... the law is on their side.

60,000p is more than he should pay. The standard rate for a "Get out of jail card" is only 50,000p.
