Re: All you need to know about Herpes - Updated May 2011
Candidiasis very common I used to get it doc normally recommend course of Sporanox antibiotic to clear it up. As for HPV 1 it is more commonly associated to cold sores and it consider so common that even kids has it.

Re: All you need to know about Herpes - Updated May 2011
Read a FR where 1 bro said that after BBBJ the WL did not want to kiss as she had a cold sore. He may have just got HSV 1 on his dicky. While not as bad as HSV 2 can still be a nuisance.

Perhaps you could choose to do a systemic candida cleanse, i.e. clear the yeast out of your whole body, not only in your genitals. Look up 'McCombs Plan' in Google for the details. I have done the Plan once, and the results were quite good. You do not have to purchase the supplements from the original website itself; you can find them on iherb, which is much cheaper (if you include shipping). PM me if you want more details. Stay well! |

Re: All you need to know about Herpes - Updated May 2011
you cant prevent it...
but these are some trigger factors it is all in this sticky. post 5. In most outbreaks, there is no obvious trigger. Many people, however, find that attacks of genital herpes occur with the following conditions: * Fatigue * General illness (from mild illnesses to serious conditions, such as operations, heart attacks, and pneumonia) * Immunosuppression due to AIDS or medication such as chemotherapy or steroids * Menstruation * Physical or emotional stress * Trauma to the affected area, including sexual activity |

Re: All you need to know about Herpes - Updated May 2011
Hi,
Sorry if this sounds silly but if 1) I have HSV-1 in the mouth from kissing, etc, some routine non-sexual act, then I will have immunity from further HSV-1 infection right, since my body has built up the immunity. Does that mean that I will not get genital herpes from a FL with HSV-1 in her saliva? In this case would it not make sense to intentionally get infected with HSV-1 (if I have not since 70% of people have it) so that I have immunity from GH from HSV-1 and can enjoy all the BBBJ? I also read that if you have HSV-1 antibodies in your blood, the chances of getting GH from HSV-2 is much reduced. I can live with a cold sore now and then if the upside is immunity from GH. 2) However anyone know what is the most prevalent form of HSV in the saliva of a FL? Is it HSV-1 or HSV-2? Could it be that since they do a lot of BBBJ then likely the more prevalent form of HSV in their saliva is HSV-2 caught from a client's ejaculate? 3) So if the above is true and if most FLs have HSV-2 in their saliva, what happens if the client engages in a lot of french kissing? Will we get HSV-2 in the mouth? 4) Finally what is the probability of a guy getting GH from a BBBJ if the girl does not have sores and the penis does not have any broken skin? After all the exposed mucous menbrane is only inside the pee hole for the guy and during BBBJ there is positive pressure in that ejaculate is coming out so saliva is not going in. I know that there is always a chance you can get it but the question is how high a probability? Anyone knows? |

Do your own research on the net and draw your own conclusions. You could also get yourself tested for both strains and see what turns up. If you test positive for both but have never experienced any outbreaks, you're no different from millions of other infected individuals with healthy immune systems.

Re: All you need to know about Herpes - Updated May 2011
Hi I think the most relevant question is - where do you go to get tested? Since herpes r so prevalent and asymptotic. I don't wanna to a GP since they probably can't test it and I worry abt my confidence. Anybody knows? And cost info if possible, thanks

No clinic will do their own testing. The samples are sent to specialist labs which have the necessary equipment.

Re: All you need to know about Herpes - Updated May 2011
Hi guys,
I need some help. I'm depressed. I think I hav gonna GH. I went to Dr Tan clinic and he visually confirm that it is Herpes. Now I'm waiting for the blood test result. Althought ppl said that it's not something serious, but it's impossible to not feel depressed. I am getting marry next yr, dunno how to face my gf. really regret now. Just to check does herpes cause backache? I read the first few post it does not say anythin about backaches. I have been feel abit "suan" on my back for afew months. Not sure if it's cause by Herpes. i did some search and some ppl that have herpes for 20+ yrs has backaches that is unbearable. I wonder does the herpes symptom come out 1-2 weeks after exposure? My last exposure was Nov 2011, but the ulcer appear in May 2012. Is it possible? Thanks for your time. |

Re: All you need to know about Herpes - Updated May 2011
Thanks Bro Sam for the URL.
Herpes usually outbreak on the same spot unless i self infect other parts right? If I take good care of the wound my outbreak will only be limited to the same spot right? I just wondering does herpes cause backaches as i read the virus is in the nerves. I'm wondering am i able to hav normal kids in the future without infecting my kids? Will I infect my family if we wash our clothes together? I'm very afraid to pass it on to anyone. |

What did the doctor say? 75% of the population will test positive for HSV1 so I wouldn't bother about that result anyway. If your girlfriend is already positive for HSV1, chances of her getting an outbreak on her genitals are remote as she already has the antibodies to deal with the infection.

Re: All you need to know about Herpes - Updated May 2011
Your result appears to be rather low. Best is to do a re-test. And get your gf tested too. Just remember, Herpes is very common. Herpes doesn't kill you and you can still have kids. Talk to your doctor as he's the best person to advise you...
