Let me offer another view on their ‘promiscuity’.
The term is carpe diem.

Regardless if they are foreign or local healthcare professionals, they deal and see impermanence everyday through the patients there.

Anyone that roll into the hospital is a case of something never happened before and it happened.
Could be a case of a new medical condition, psychologically or pathological.
Hence they see life as impermanent, transient or fleeting.

Any patient they interact with, they will learn that the patient were normal or perfect before such misfortune struck.
And worse case the patient must live with the altering effect, physically or psychologically.

Now, the healthcare professionals see this every day. Work shifts.
Probably dog tired and social circle is limited too.

When u see deaths, and life-changing examples so often, u will be compelled to live life to the fullest.
Or seize every moment worth seizing.

If u are single, sees a colleague whom u have a liking. Surrounded and reminded by those patients how life could be every day, would u hesitate to take a chance on your colleague.
Now let say both of u felt the same and took a chance on each other. Then how far would u two willing to go to feel ‘alive’.

When my friend was doing his residency abt 20 years ago, early 2000s he frequently told me about his fucking foreign nurses. He's now married but from what he said:

Pinay: Easiest, just ask to fuck. They are lonely, and view fucking a doc as potential way to further their career. Even if married in the home country, they fucked and sucked local dick at drop of a hat. One Pinay gave him a BJ in his car.
