Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Fair comments. But why was Vardy on the bench and never even came on?
Actually I am in a better mood now since I read that we have an almost full squad back in training yesterday apart from Robbo(suspension), Elliott (long term injury) and Origi(still carrying an injury it seems). Actually in an even better mood because I also read that our Afcon bound trio shall still be available for the Chelsea game on 2nd Jan before flying out for Afcon. Quote:

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
On the 23rd Dec, soon to be 35 years old Jamie Vardy played 120 minutes against us in the Carabao Cup. Resting him for the 26th Dec match against Man City is probably reasonable.
I think we will win 3-1.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Can surrender the title to Citeh already n Chelsea could easily catch up also.. Real bunch of clowns with a performance like that n furthermore Leicester just had a tough match 2 days ago. There's no excuse about not having enough rest! Maybe they rested too much.

Too long break with a merry making in between.....anyway hopefully the boys pick themselves up from here and go again. Don't expect Man Shitty to drop many points from now, they seems to be hitting form.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Klopp: “One of the guys who is constantly talking about that you shouldn’t play the 26th and 28th and only plays the 28th and loses against the team who plays 26th and 28th – a funny story I know." Klopp's sad grim face said it all, unfortunately
First time we’ve lost a game in December for five years. Playing every two/three days suits us! Huge result last night for City. Truly a big loss as City rarely lose games and we may have to go flawless now which means beating Chelsea and City away. Not only that, we shall probably be 12 points behind City when we take to the field against Chelsea Even with games in hand we are clutching on now. A very tough ask. Back to last night. Truly gutted with that display. Leicester played 2 days ago, have around 7 or 8 players out, including most of their first choice defenders. Kudos to Brendan and his lads for doing one over us. Salah's performance overall was poor - it seemed the penalty miss really affected him. And how Sadio missed that chance, I don't know? We had 21 attempts but only 4 on target. Actually apart from Matip, the rest were awful. Also, why are we so bad at corners? Get lots throughout games but hardly ever score! Seems weird saying it, but we missed an Origi or Minamino last night. Wildcard |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
After being depressed from the Leicester defeat, now need to put things in perspective.
We are a good team chasing the most complete team the Premier League has ever seen. Two years ago we hold on to the leads against City, Brentford, Spurs, Brighton and turnover 10-man Chelsea at home; defeats happen, City lost to a poor Spurs and Palace, but the draws have killed us. Not his fault in the slightest, however, Thiago has started none of these games we have drawn or lost(made cameos in the Chelsea and West Ham games). We really need all of our big hitters in the toughest tests and due to injury/covid our Spanish maestro has not been available & it has shown in the lack of balance & control. Always thought these next 3 away games (Spurs, Leicester & Chelsea) would be telling in terms of whether we could go all the way and unfortunately it looks like we are just short. That said, from what what I read about last night's two main matches(did not watch either one) it seems like both City and Chelsea were not at their best although sadly City still able to grind out a win but at least Chelsea dropped two points. Tuchel now going crazy over the Covid situation and injuries to his squad. Perhaps trying to get our Sunday game postponed? Might even be trying to pull a fast one so that our game shall be eventually played during Afcon?! |
