Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Very bad first half and very lucky Milner stayed on the pitch.
Should have gotten 3 points if not for some mistakes.

Except Salah, Matip n Allison, the rest were below par.. Foden was all over Milner n Vvd doesn't looked the same player he was 2 years ago. I would consider this a good result for Pool, Citeh would be a goal or 2 up had they been more clinical in the 1st half. Salah almost singlehandedly salvaged the game for Pool. Very good game of football overall.

Liverpool Salah goal was top world class. Dribbled past 3 defenders and beat the goalkeeper Ederson far post.
Should had hang on to win but 2-2 scoreline cannot complain.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Great game for neutrals. All in a draw was probably a fair result.
We were poor in the first half and I would have gladly taken a point after that, but 2nd half was a different kettle of fish altogether and we should have have won it even after KDB's equaliser because Fabinho missed a clear winner at the end. Salah is playing on another level at the moment, absolutely sublime stuff and the best player in the PL currently. FSG need to give him what he wants. Unfortunately i was right about Milner being run ragged at RB but not by Grealish but Foden instead. Foden is the real thing. Actually Milner was lucky not to get red carded, that said think either Silva or Cancelo should have walked as well, so all square there. Tbf to Milner though, think our MFs did not provide him with the necessary cover. That said we badly need a proper RB cover equivalent to Tsimikas at LB. International break could not come sooner for us. We need TAA and Thiago back. Klopp also needs to sort out why we can't hold our leads. Anyways i am going to end on a positive. 'We are going for this title and we have what it takes' Fighting words from Mo, love this guy! |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
It was a pity the ball fell on Fab n as he's not a striker he would try to control the ball 1st.. I'm sure Mane or Salah would have hit it instinctively for goal..

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Watched the match again.
Have to say Silva played a really good game. Pep's melt down when he wanted Milner sent off followed by his joy when KDB equalised was very amusing, that and his post match dig with respect to playing at Anfield and Old Trafford. Our MF was really poor yesterday and yet Klopp did not see fit to bring someone off the bench to change things up a bit. Does he not trust the bench? On a brighter note, both our goals were pure class but Salah's goal is on another level altogether, reminiscent of Maradona and Messi. Yes it was that good, no hyperbole here. One word to describe it, "world class"(actually two words)!! |

If u noticed, Pool's defending has been poor lately where they couldn't hold on to their lead. It was obvious against Brentford during the 3-3 draw n again it happened against Citeh 2days ago. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
No doubt our MF against City was poor. Fabinho-Henderson-Thiago MF would have been much better or even a Fabinho-Thiago-Kieta MF. Really don't know why Klopp did not bring on Nabby some time during this game? Too much pressure on Curtis. Foden is on another level so can't compare.
As for the Brentford game, Brentford are really good and play a style Liverpool were not use to. That said, the leakage of goals and not being able to see out games with a single goal lead needs to be addressed. Quote:
Never get tired of watching it. The fans suddenly standing up and increasing the noise crescendo from "oooh" to "aaah" to "goaaal" gives me goosebumps. Also the various reactions from VVD, Klopp and Pep when Salah scored adds on to the entertainment value, that and the two City defenders banging their hands on the pitch in dismay when the ball hits the net. Whatever happens this season, let us at least sit back and enjoy Mo Salah's unbelievable and amazing rich vein of form. |
