The current situation dictates all hotel establishments to follow the covid prevention SOP by the authorities. So unless they are willing to risk their operating licence being suspended or fined, they LL have to follow the regulations. That's the reality now if we wanna use hotels.

One might be lucky if the front desk is undermanned or busy so that movement may be overlooked..That's called lucky if you're able to sneak your partner in.

Since all got "same SOP", the next consideration is $$$ nia...So how much you are willing to invest in that lady and whats the ROI...

However, I guess there is a difference in officially registering & just doing safe-entry.

Most DH are OK to do official registration (they must be used to it! ).
A few are more antsy, some even asked specifically for hotels without registration!

I know of a place that is at the north area. Just wechat the guy to book room and no need IC and no questions. rate is reasonable too 2 hr for 30 overnight i think is 50 or 60 forget from what time.
