They have spent a lot of money back home just to get here. Really pity them but there is nothing much that i can do. Except hanging some pity flower for them which does not help at all.

If he has 15 singers with targets of example, $7K each, his monthly gross income of $105K or more is sure get because the singer have to top up to that amount if can't make it. For each singer, he already make certain % of the agency fee shared with the Agent.

Flower Income + F&B Income - Overheads - Rental - Misc = $$$ Profits Normally.

The boss also earn frm singer by deduct $500 (at some joints) if they fail to get 1 table booking for that week, singer have to pay $500 to stay in apartment rented by Boss (non-negotiable in some cases) so Boss earn, and the singers get sent back if consecutive 2 months fail to meet flower target.

So there is no end. More and more HFJ are opening, more and more PRC come. The sad cases are many, success cases are few.

Last week, a singer sit with my fren crown herself $1K by hanging for herself (she pay herself).... in order to meet month target or else get deducted $2000....

This month would be bad for the singers becos some of the customers will spend their cash at the 7 Month $$$$$$$$ ....

KNN...really hard to imagine if u have to work and then instead of getting an income, u have to compensate the boss because most of the time, the targets are impossible to meet.

It is exploitation by HFJ operators.
This kind of work arrangement is like slave labour.
Problem is that the HFJ singers have not yet cottoned on to appealing as a group to MOM for help.
HFJ singers are also workers.
Because they knew for sure that in back in PRC their Govt does not care; so they thought same here.
If general public knows through a news article; and there is some written protest by PRC embassy on their behalf; maybe MOM will put the squeeze on the HFJ operators.

But I think the singers tolerate it for one thing.
That is to have the exposure in the HFJ so they can meet a benefactor (singers don't care if he is young or old, good looking or ugly, as long as extremely rich). Singers do not even care if he wants to keep them as casual GF or mistress instead of marrying them.
As long as the loads of money roll in.

Then the singer got it made. She strike lottery. She catapult into Tai Tai life style overnight. Even if the affair is over many years later, she would have scraped enough money from rich benefactor to return to PRC and live a millionaire life style.

The HFJ singers are not looking for love. Or to start a family with you. (can somebody tell ChinaCity that?)
They may (many are) already be married and have a husband (much better looking than you and younger too) back in PRC. But they are not going to tell the rich benefactor.

That is why the singers tolerate these unethical HFJ operators. She is not here to hope for your once-in-a-while $200 flower/banner.

To date, from lack of flowers, i think i only know 2 that were actually sent back from there cos they got no sugar daddy plus they cant even hit 2k per month.
There's a hidden truth in HFJ, where you can actually BY a singer by by putting $$$$$ straight into her flower tally without hanging anything.
So, the truth of the matter is that, there are several singers who are BY for the quota only, and all other $$$ earned is actually win win for her and also less impact for the one who BY her.
Remember, the FRIENDS concept is not important la bro, cos if you dun hang even consolation flowers, see got friend or not.....

If the singers is without basic salary, income base flowers from customers.

Do they need to to pay individual income tax to IRAS on their earned income after 6 months here
In these context, they should be a tax resident in Singapore not in PRC.

Or just like KTV girls after earning remit money back into their China bank accounts
