Notice how many ferries were embarking at Batam Center? Thats not counting others not from Harbour Front or other neighboring countries. How not to be crowded? How not to get messed up one day in the long run?

Batam itself is already unpredictable enough,hehehe...I go Batam to relax and enjoy myself,i just dont wish to be face with too many uncertainties and even more unpredictables for simple traveling matters.

I would also like to share some info on money saving tips for bros here for ferry service to batam....

For singaporean who travel from singapore to batam.

1) Use NTUC card to get $10 off for 2 ways ferry ticket from harbourfront to batam centre by sindo ferry.
$36 ticket + $6(spore tax) + $6.70(65k indo tax) - $10 = $38.70

2) Senior citizen - must be singaporean aged 50 and above (valid till 30 sept 2016)
S$17 per 2way adult ticket from harbourfront to batam centre by sindo ferry.(Price excludes Terminal Taxes)
Singapore Passenger Departure Fee is $6 per person.
Batam Terminal tax is Rp65,000 per person.
$17 ticket + $6(spore tax) + $6.70(65k indo tax) = $29.70

3) Apply for the Sindo Ferry Club Card at $188 per month which entitle to unlimited travel between batam centre and Singapore harbourfront. But the price is exclude tax on both sides.
Singapore Passenger Departure Fee is $6 per person.
Batam Terminal tax is Rp65,000 per person.
Applicable to Batam Centre, Sekupang and Waterfront.
Each month cost $188
Each return trip cost $6(spore tax) + $6.70(65k indo tax) = $12.70

From my understanding, horizon ferry still has not come out with monthly unlimited travel promotion yet... If it does, I believe many cheongsters will be queuing up to apply for one because horizon ferry provide service to harbourbay Nagoya...the place where great food, sensual massage and other excitements can be enjoyed...

For Indonesian who travel from singapore to batam.
There are many Indonesian Chinese and Javanese residing in singapore. I guess there are also many samsters reading this forum are Indonesian residing in spore.

One of the money saving tips for INDONESIAN ONLY is that they are entitled to buy 2 way ferry tickets by horizon ferry for 375k=$38 nett instead of $48 at the Harbourbay Horizon Ferry Ticket Office. The price is inclusive of taxes on both sides

They can buy so called 2way OPEN ticket which means they buy and keep the tickets. The tickets can then be used to depart from spore side first or batam side first. The 2 way tickets are valid for about one year from the date of purchase.

For Malaysian/Indonesian who travel from Johor Bahru to batam.
Finally Malaysian/Indonesian from Johor Bahru Stulang Laut ferry terminal can have a direct ferry service from JB direct to Harbourbay Ferry Terminal. The direct ferry service was started off end of last year.

So now Johorian or even Singaporean/indonesian can travel directly from JB to Harbourbay Nagoya unlike last time have to reach batam centre first and then transfer taxi to Nagoya. Thus save on precious time and money and effort.

The ferry ticket price from JB Stulang Laut ferry terminal to Harbourbay and Batam Centre are the same because the distance apart from JB ferry terminal to both ferry terminals are almost equal if you look at the map.

There are now currently 2 ferry companies operating from harbourbay to JB stulang laut.

The two ferry ticket offices are located side by side near horizon ferry ticket office. Their schedules of departure from harbourbay to JB are different.

The first one is PT Putramaju (picture below showing schedule) (the staff said they use better ferry than the other company)

The second one is marine hawk ferry. (last time was known as mv mutiara)

After settle down, step outside the hotel, find a small convenient store to get some supply (I bet you all know what is it, lol) then was approached by some taxi driver to offer tour service for booking girl. Since I am still new to Batam scene, I took one looks like nice guy and accept his offer of 50K to booking joints. It maybe another cost I can cut off in the future, anyway for the first time I will take it as kind of tuition fee.

Feel free to try both method (walking and taxi/ojek) when it comes to travelling in Batam and find out what suits you best. Better still, use both methods of travelling to your advantage and get rid of the no good part. Keep on modifying your trip to make it better and better.

Practice make perfect. Each massage session cost 60k to 80k per hour in most places. Price of special service will go down if you die die don't take it up,hehehe...well, given that its almost a fact that massage ladies mainly have one or at most just 2 customers a day.

You just remind me why I couldn't find myself taking up any ST at 400k/500k and above in Batam. Utama area's ST is usually range between 200k to 300k from my experience. On average,they have perhaps 1 or maximum 2 customers a day,if they miss out their chance of you taking up the special they prompted you upon,that would probably means its a "lost" to them for even coming to work on that particular day.

The one who holds the money will always be at an advantage in Utama area,but not everyone who holds the money were somewhat intelligent enough; base on your description that you have to turn down a 400k one who die die wants that price. It means some not-very-intelligent/or weak-willed bros has paid the 400k (or more) to her before,hence she is so bend on the 400k.

Something to share base on your experience,if inflation is so often claimed to be high in Batam,i will allow it to work towards my advantage rather than going against the flowing tide.

Prices of daily necessities were getting higher in Batam each month due to inflation? It affects us as much as it will be affecting their locals working there too. If their job system (or payroll system) do not change,they will very much often get the similar basic salary which cannot catch up with their inflation. It would somewhat means they need to EARN MORE to be able to enjoy the same thing they have some years ago,so that works towards my advantage when I pay them almost the same as what I did 2.5 years ago becos if they don't take up my offer,they have nothing at the end of the day.

My conclusion is,i will reject all special service offer in any massage shops that were above my benchmark. And I know I can afford to reject them becos each hourly massage only cost between 50k to 100k most time. And i know I can get 200k to 300k fj (350k max) nearly everywhere in Batam,why should I pay anything in 400k and above under a normal circumstances? (much easier during weekdays too)

I also ask myself,if booking joint is charging 400k to 500k per pop,how much does the girls bring home after the OKT and the joint itself took part of the money? And then if a FL via wechat/watsapp charges 400k to 600k per pop,how much does she brings home at the end of the day? Lastly,how much does a massage girl who took up 200k to 300k fj brings home?

Do the maths and it gives me a better understanding how much a good bonk cost in Batam. Therefore using my simple ways of calculation,i have concluded that wechat/wattsapp/ and FLs at the NED in Batam is the MORE EXPENSIVE bonk of it all. (not to mention its the least-safe too)

Note : My calculation is base solely on a per bonk basis,not counting in the good time which some might have while drinking with the girls,having a good TCSS time in NED pubs/disco/clubs etc and/or in a massage shop where one has a wonderful private massage time. I would still urge all to remain vigilant with personal valuables with any working girl anywhere,not just wechat/FLs.

A personal perspective.

It really depend on your itinerary. If you plan to go to places like Pulau Galang,Barelang Bridge,Nagoya Hill Mall etc, surely there will be more people than the regular normal days. But if your plan is on girls,massage,pub,KTV etc then it shouldn't have any issue as it would be just like any normal weekend crowd. If i imagine putting myself in the trip either between 13th-15th's weekends or the 20th-22nd one,i am actually expecting a little more than normal crowd in the tourist area on the 13th-15th's weekend.

I am planning a non-sex Batam trip for a group of aunties and uncle,hence I am keeping tab now. I have to bring them to some touristy places but yet on a personal scale, i do not like crowd. Yes. When SBY ( previous president) came up in 2004, he shut down the casinos. Whole of Batam came to a stand still. Took a long time to recover with other entertainments.
