Thai rice is long grain rice , fagrance but taste no as good, a bit more tough. Shushi rice or in china they call dong bei me are pearl rice, more round and short. Got better texture and soft. Why becos it harvest only once a year. Thai rice harvest nearly every season.

in tw is called "珍珠米＂， haha ya short short round round fat fat .. can be used to make sushi too ..

i prefer Thai rice but if I want to make bento/sushi, i buy the pearl rice

Nice food.... I always ordered big portion when I am there.

For those living in the west, you can try Fried Fish soup at Yuhua Market, always long queue during lunch and dinner. Quite nice or rather one of the best I tried so far in the west area. Chicken Rice is also good but they only open during lunch hours.

Waa sounds good idea!! I realise I like my kimchi to be dry n spicy, the one I just brought is fr Korea, taste really yummy!

The kimchi class in Korea is fun and seem like rather easy to make but duno how to make the sauce .. waha..
