Globe sim card don't work? Ask for refund if you can - sometimes they will give. I usually use smart since the reception is better IMO.

I suppose it's a new place so they would charge higher for LD. If you make it to MBC, no LD (officially), and can watch match. Though no commentary since they blast their own music.

Havana at Malate right ? well, you are right on that But not barfine, you need to set up a meet the next day or after their work .. atleast for me - end up cheaper and more GFE !

I will be visiting manila for the 1st time this Sat
I will be staying at Peninsula (originally suppose to stay at new world)
a few questions hhope u guys can help
1 - is it safe to walk from Peninsula to greenbelt? club havana actually
2 - around peninsula preferably walking distance, any place to recommend, not only for the girls but for visit as well. I have sat and sunday to spare
3 - im not comfortable to bring the girls back to my room... or may i will but risky bum into my colleg. anyway possible to settle outside? shorttime room? safe?
4 - any massage place clean or un-clean to recommend? again. preferably near to peninsula.
5 - which area to recommend for pub/bar/agog bar hopping? is it safe to do it alone?

even the so call unofficial mamasan will perster you for LD
if that failed, they will ask you to buy mineral water for them

From my own experience, having set my foot in Manila almost 10 years ago, and do a quarterly run, though now I am on a tight leash or my friends there keep me busy and limit my time to 'fun stuff' to minimum ..

1. Well, Greenbelt is almost like Singapore, not many beggers, or scammers or con artists, which galore in other parts of Philippines, though the area is a magnet for LBs .. don't ask me wny ..

And Havana, is more of a Bar, not exactly club, so set your expectations right .. than be disappointed !

2. I a not a fan of in-house stuff, so no comments on that .. and my logic is, when you can get the whole 9 yards, why do a rush job with a in-house stuff - which are illegal and you can get caught with your pants down nowadays, with the active 'anti-human trafficking drive' and all ..

3. ST rooms - look up Sogo - think H81 !

If you are worried of bumping into your colleagues, well, think of it this way .. if you have a nice dressed girl, why fret ? If you have a street-slut looking girl, then worry a lot .. if a nice girl is with you, you can always cover it saying "a friend, who came to visit me .. " and most girls know how to play along .. except the rare few, or atleast give the deer in headlight look if anything is asked ..

Other ST hotels, I have been attacked by bed bugs, and also once, opened the toilet, when I bunked into a ST hotel on my way to Laoag, between the bus and flight, and was amazed that so many cockroaches could fit into a toilet ..

Again, so far, in my experience, I have never been robbed, then again, I am not much of a person to take the challenge and pick up stray cats or stray pussies .. and if I do get in strays, I ensure my stuff are locked, and properly hidden and basic precaution.

It can be from Nirvana to Dodge city in a few minutes, if you are in the wrong place, and within a minute a dozen kids can surround you and pull tag your shirt and before you realise it, your stuff would have been cleaned up. Have basic street smart always, or have a tag-along to cover your 6 o clock ....

4. No fan of that, so no comments

5. You can head to Edsa, for Barfine and all, or head to P Burgos, which, if you are a veteran of TP / PM here, you will know how to stretch your $ or you will sink like a leaky tug

Of course, you can hit on MBC as well, to check out the scene

All the places, you don't need to worry much, and as much as possible, take a passing taxi, don't take one in the queue

And keep less $ in your pocket, and again, be careful.
