Honestly how much diff does it make? It would save you all the hassle if you can go to the big money changer and they can deliver to you on the spot. You do have to "shop" around for the best rate though unless you have a regular money changer who will give u good rates.

If >50 notes (does he mean bht50k or??!) --> 23.35.

Over the weekend, most banks did 23.10-23.15. Airport fri did 23.14. Worse rate is Kasikorn (green signage) 23.10, Siam Commercial (purple signage) was better at 23.156. From experience, if you are anywhere UOB Thai -> give the best rate. Else, the smaller Thanachart (orange signage) is not bad.

The next best rate offer from local thai bank is Siam City.

just an advice for anyone who travel to bangkok. Please try not to change too much money at bangkok airport as the rate offer there is lower than you change at the city. perhaps prepare enough money got a bite and cab fare to book in hotel and after that search for money changer... for bank u can drop karsikorn bank(always low), perhaps Siam Commercial and Ayuttya Bank will be better...

Spoken like bkk lau jiao... yes, Siam City gets you more favourable rate. Rule of thumb, the smallish banks like Siam City (red signage?) or Thanachart are better. Only trouble is Siam City does not have extensive network. There's one in Central World (got me best rate). But the non-bank small booth types are also better (minus electronic boards)
