You want complain that IO not doing more than his job ?

His job don't include finding work for people under investigation. Complain king - from when SPF running employment agency?

your GF have offer from MNC ? What's her experience and qualification? And how come she kena white card ?

Once she got White card - forget working in Singapore for A while.

Mean time you go find employer - i already hint to you.

Maybe he should complain about his girl IO - see how that go. In.fact, his girl could be witness or suspect - I ever met a suspect let to stay in Singapore because she admit her crime - then working in orchard tower to make some $

Maybe when i said complain it was too harsh of a word. More like asking him for update regarding that because he has on 3 occasions, mentioned that if a job is needed, tell him and he will get a so called agent for it and he can be the guarantor. But in the event that the case closes earlier, have to stay till 6 months is up. I suspect that could be the work permit. So yeah that's that.

Other issues.
I went ICA to apply for a one month extension. Air ticket already bought.
They extended the VISA until one day before the flight and then processed the application. I asked why not extend another day and I wouldn't need this application already. Answer was no.
A week later, my application was rejected.
I asked why and was informed that I can only do >6mths extension.

I said, hello, based on the current visa, I just need one more day... >6mths means I have to spend hundreds for buying security deposits, medical, extra application fees, etc.... And why ask in the application if it was <6mths if it was not an option?

in the end, air ticket was slightly less than 1K.... application total about $400... haiz... apply one year which is >6mths just for one day of stay.

Welcome to the world of ICA. Their processes sometimes are not very robust, and would require security deposits. And the only way to force a security deposit is >6mths extension.
So for those in a hurry, don't waste time. Just buy the security deposit which takes a week.

This is clear cut case they are "playing" with you...... you must have pissed them off earlier.

I guess in this case the extension cross the maximum social visit pass limit. Too bad it was one day before the flight ..

I don't know if immigration give random number of days ...

ICA rules correct.

because you want them bend rule - cannot be done. One day or 2 day extension in immigration law not allow if exceed x number of days already - so social visa.

Singapore law is rigid. Nothing wrong there

solution - sent the girl out and return or change to other pass

Disagree with this statement...

In fact letter of appeal from MP will be given more consideration...just that ICA cannot bend rules for an foreigner individual...a country sovereign integrity is at stake if anyhow can...when you heard foreigners say Singapore is lawlessness...

I don't want argue with the consideration or no for MP letter, but I know 100% if a country passport say allow to stay maximum 89 day, ICA not extend to 91 day - because law say only 89 for that passport.

MP letter will not make government servant break laws passed by parliament! And MP must understand that.

starting to break small laws because of letter is when law and order start breaking down -
