joe cole, if he joins, should fit in very nicely with the enterprising spurs style of play, but i am afraid he is more like a fiery destroyer than the creative goal getter now. still early days in the transfer market, i'd like to see how harry slam those sniffers who are after bale. |

That is because Spurs' scouts are working hard to spot potentially good players. Since his arrival, Modric takes about a season to blend in and once he did so, he is so fluid for Spurs. Quote:
Initially when we didn't get VDV, I would like Joe Cole to join us. Modric, VDV and Joe Cole are all almost the same type of player. It will only mean one of them must go, especially with Modric so young and wanted in the market. I would like to lose Modric for Cole because Modric is more level-headed and has blend in very well with our play as well as younger. Hopefully, Spurs can keep Modric even if they get Cole. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/st...ssures?cc=4716 COMON YOU SPURS!!!

but joe cole's injury history is also a huge concern lah... by right only 1st div teams should dare to take him in now. spurs only got 1 sick bed since anderton's time, now occupied by ledley... Quote:

Sorry Bro,
I mean "I wouldn't" (Typo error). I prefer Modric more than Cole as Cole's age and prone to injury is really a concern. Quote:
I wish that Ledley can be out of sick bay soon. He is really a great player if not for his chronic injury. Haizzz... Hopefully, we can see more of Ledley and Modric come next season. COMON YOU SPURS!!!

Barcelona president Sandro Rosell has reiterated that he will not "go mad" to sign Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas this summer and does not think the player would join Real Madrid. for years every year cesc is linked to barca. dont they get tired? will a champion of champions like barca be hard up to sign any player? why dont cesc just sign for spurs and let wenger wank it off? |

Re: Tottenham Hotspur - the Pride of London
Newcastle signed Demba Ba for 4 million pounds:
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/st...mba-ba?cc=4716 That's a bargain man. If Harry had saw it coming. Demba Ba is worth much more from his first season showing. I would say 8 million pounds is reasonable as he is 26 and has potential to peak in 2-3 years as a striker. Great work Alan Pardew! Hopefully, Spurs work out something in the striker department instead of keep looking and Midfielders. COMON YOU SPURS!!!

Re: Tottenham Hotspur - the Pride of London
Bro,
It is unlikely that Spurs can get Cesc unless you are lending the $$$ support with your oil $$$. Cesc's heart is at Barca. Although he is playing well at Arsenal, but the players around him just collapse mentally when sternly tested. These days the mental strength of the Arsenal squad is weak. Hopefully, Spurs will get into the top four and topple our traditional rivals to gain some pride after living so many years under their shadow. COMON YOU SPURS!!!

Re: Tottenham Hotspur - the Pride of London
bro add in full pts for the games against liv and man city, spurs will be over the 80 mark and challenging for the title right down to the wire!
so far so good that there is no sign of harry leaving spurs... phew... talking about managers, one of my favourite former argentinian midfield generals diego simeone! he did so well to steer catania up the ladder in serie a last season, winning game after game, completely moved away from relegation and finished 13th with just his 4 months there. i'll be really surprised if no well-to-do serie a club try to get his signature... but he's back to coach in argentina now? Former Catania boss Diego Simeone has returned to Argentina to take on his third managerial job in 14 months, stepping into the hotseat at struggling Racing Club. |

Re: Tottenham Hotspur - the Pride of London
Quote:
I would like to do that too, but I refrain from it as it is unlikely Spurs would get near where I predicted. Spurs just lost too much games to those so-called easy matches. Liverpool and Man City has improved tremendously over last season. Hence, I think it is ideal to aim for third and if somethings goes wrong somewhere, we may just fall short and landed where we are this season. We should not drop any further than that, in actual fact we should improve. Quote:
As for Harry,I am also keeping my fingers crossed. I think he should be given another season. This season will be very important for him to perform as the team has been strengthen since his arrival, the team has been playing well under him. It is time for him to bring back a trophy or two and push us into at least third to show his managing prowess. I do not think Daniel Levy will be able to accept another unsuccessful season. We should also shake off the "feeder club" tag by keeping our top players. Hopefully, we can get somemore young players with VDV's skills and attacking vision, Bale's speed and crossing ability, Modric's passing ability and vision, Ledley's finess and leadership, Dawson's determination and defensive vision, Lennon's trickery, Pavy's powerful shooting, Defoe's killer instinct, Huddlestone's range of passes and shooting, and Sandro's timely interception as well as his enthusiaism. Re: Tottenham Hotspur - the Pride of London
Anyone happens to see Antonio Pedroza play before? Please see report of the player coming to Spurs:
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/st...switch?cc=4716 Looks promising, but I think more Luiz Suarez than Hernandez... If this transfer news is true, I think Spurs is moving towards right direction with young talent. COMON YOU SPURS!!!
