Hi bro, if for reasons unseen, in February when I go, the Airport has opened, would it be better to stay at Sukhumvit or Chinatown or Ratchadapisek to avoid running into the PAD demonstrations? I am sure this PAD nuisance will haunt Thailand for a long time unless the army whore generals get off their lazy asses and do something right for a change then cocking up the country ever again. The Government house area where they always protest is in which area? Those 3 places mentioned, are far away from the protest sites?

this is some information for u ..

U-tapao airport has been used as a gateway for sending foreign visitors home. As of yesterday afternoon, six flights had taken off. The flights will increase to 15 today and 48 tomorrow. Aircraft capacity is about 300 passengers per flight.

Asia Hotel, JW Marriott, Maenam Hotel and Centara Grand would serve as check-in venues. Airlines will announce hotels for their check-ins today. Imperial Queen's Park and Holiday Inn are on stand-by to accept passengers checking in for flights. Passengers would then be taken by bus to U-tapao.

well, from the case of the queen going to the funeral of one of the PAD supporter who died, you can know who PAD backing is .

without such a strong " mountain" behind them, you think they dare to go
to take the airport? and with this backing,

hi bro , the thai govt is not weak.They cannot do much if the army does not follow their orders.As for that top senile old man,the reason he did not speak up is bcos he is the MAIN culprit behind the pad bold show of defiant against the law.

truly agree that guy damn useless #@$%$%, if situation escalate further it would be from million to like billions of dollars in damages...exports, imports, tourism, restoration works...etc

Sukhumvit will be a better choice.Chinatowm besides value for money birdnest,sharkfins and wholesales stuff to purchase have nothing much to offer in term of entertainmant.
As for the army it is not that they don't want to help but they are under order by the palace not to do so.It's a power struggle bro.
